She was great. Listened and made good suggestions for medication stasis and changes where appropriate. The only issue I had was zocdoc listed one of her areas of expertise as hypnotherapy and that was not accurate, so if you’re looking for a specific speciality in a psychiatrist, make sure you double check with a second source before booking.

She was very professional, taking the time to truly listen and understand the full picture without rushing to a diagnosis, slapping on a label, or jumping straight to medication. The first appointment was extremely thorough. Doctor asked a lot of questions and truly listened to the answers. This allowed us to come up with an initial treatment plan with follow-up care scheduled. Very pleased with the entire experience. Would highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Kolta is an exceptional psychiatrist and easily one of the most attentive, thoughtful, and trauma-informed providers I’ve ever worked with. He brings a level of emotional intelligence and clinical insight that feels incredibly rare in psychiatric care. In our sessions, he’s made connections between my traumas and current symptoms that I hadn’t yet been able to see myself, but that made immediate, grounding sense, and he was expert at treating those symptoms.
He takes your concerns seriously, listens without rushing, and is generous with his time in a way that genuinely reflects care. He’s even been willing to meet during holiday weeks when necessary, always with warmth and without the slightest sense of discontent or resentment. That kind of presence and continuity of care has made a real difference.
If you're looking for a psychiatrist who is not only clinically skilled but also emotionally attuned and human, I can’t recommend Dr. Kolta highly enough.
