Welcome to our Podiatric Medical Practice. We specialize in Foot and Ankle Pain, Fungal Infections, Ingrown Toenails, Diabetic Healthcare and other routine foot problems. We are happy to bill your medical insurance provider. We have no control over what they will pay nor do we know the insurance deductible amount per year that you are responsible for. Dr. Lukoff is very informative and kind and a wonderful doctor. He talked me through the whole procedure and his nurse practioner she was very nice/friendly to me. If I had any other problem with my feet this is the place to go. Clean efficient informative very friendly nice place to go. I recommend anyone to go there

I was basically sold a antifungal kit extremely expensive which of course insurance doesn’t cover it. Seemed like a lot for that. Also wanted to do laser treatment that day which again is not covered by insurance. I felt rushed and confused. I will try the kit because I paid for it . But I am going to talk to my primary care because according to the doctor I can’t take the oral medication. Still feeling confused.

From the moment i arrived, it felt as if Dr Lukoff was far more interested in selling me as much as possable rather than treating my 2 bunions. At the end of my visit i was told what my out of pocket payment was and it was enormous! It included 2 rubber bands you put around your feet, a skinny little cork insert i place in my shoe and a pair of orthotics. I never received a bill with a breakdown. As soon as i got home , i called and canceled the orthotics and asked for a partial refund. After several weeks of calls and him telling me" Lets see what insurance will cover " , i was finally issued a slight refund. How could he charge me without knowing what my insurance would cover? Acording to my insurance, my out of pocket was far less than he charged me. And in the end, he still ended up billing my insurance for inserts i canceled on day 1, and never picked up. Though i am not one, i shutter to think about how many senior citizens are being taken advantage of by Dr Lukoff!!

I want to echo some of the other negative feedback I saw for this doctor both here and on Yelp: he immediately wanted to upsell me on custom orthotics that weren't covered by insurance AND they billed my credit card instead of my insurance. I feel like I was rushed into them and was overwhelmed by the whole process when I should feel like my doctor is a trustworthy expert. I'm currently trying to cancel my order and future follow-up appointments

THIS IS STRICTLY A CRITICISM OF ZOCDOC and not Foot Care Specialists, where I received good care.
I arrived at 10::45am for my 11am appointment BUT THE OFFICE HAD NO RECORD OF MY APPOINTMENT NOR DID THEY HAVE ANY OF THE INSURANCE/HEALTH ETC. INFORMATION THAT I HAD SUBMITTED THROUGH ZOCDOC ON SEPTEMBER 13, 2023!! This was extremely frustrating and upsetting. Luckily, I had brought copies of the application and a copy of the appointment 'booking'. As a result, my appointment took longer than I would have expected because they had to fit me in between other patients.
Definitely not good service by Zocdoc!

Please avoid. I went in to ask a question about a bunion and almost left with a huge bill for orthotics and other products I never intended to purchase. Everything felt very rushed and the doctor tried to charge me some large lump sum at the end of the appointment only to change the appointment to a "free consultation" when I started to ask some questions.

First time going to a foot specialist and had a good experience. Friendly staff that made me feel less nervous. Doctor was great and listened to what the issue was and found a way to cure my injury. Very nice and letting me know exactly what he was doing and what the aftercare was going to be like

Avoid Dr. Lukoff and this unprofessional office. Every person I encountered was nothing but an unprofessional, rude, and straight up unsanitary salesperson. None of the equipment used was sanitary, no part of the office visit is confidential-doors to treatment rooms are left wide open and anyone can hear/see your appointment, and worst of all, this office cares more about payment than your health and care. He doesn't listen to your concerns and will literally see how much you/your insurance will pay until you get smart and seek treatment elsewhere. I went in for treatment of a wart and he immediately started digging away at an "ingrown toenail" instead, charging me a RIDICULOUS amount of money, and no care for the wart. Oh, and "billing" doesn't exist in their office, so prepare to pay that ridiculous amount up front.

The doctor cared more about making money than treating the problem. He kept trying to sell his products and do tests even when there was no need to. And after doing the tests he didn’t even bother to look at them.
My problem still hasn’t been completely fixed after a week. So let’s how the treatment works

The doctor addressed the problem, was knowledgeable, professional and empathic. However, he was treating patients in 3 separate rooms, going back and forth. I'd prefer to have his complete attention!

I waited 1.5 hours to be told information I already knew. I asked about costs upfront after reading reviews to which he replied we can discuss after your analysis. It wasn’t till after the analysis was informed the analysis cost (exactly why I asked prior). He also tried to charge me a large sum for night splints that would cost about 90% cheaper. Even the staff complained at how outdated the equipment was, which was very accurate. Feels like the grifter of foot doctors in there.
