Forest Hills Foot Care specializes in the treatment and diagnosis of ankle and foot disorders for patients of all ages in the New York City and Forest Hills area. We have been providing a complete, extensive review of your aches, pains, or disorder since 1995. Our goal is to teach and present any treatment option from traditional to surgical care. Dr. Mehl was competent and professional. I waited 1hr 15 min to see him. A cockroach crawled on my arm in waiting room. Will not return.

This appointment was for my son. We were seen within 30 minutes of arrival, which was very reasonable. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our visit.
The office itself is on the smaller side and could use a bit of updating, but it was organized. Overall, I felt the experience was very good. They addressed my son’s issue appropriately, and I left happy with both the care provided and the outcome.

We arrived 15 to 29 mins before time. According to the directions there was no label to the address for said doctor. When we finally got in the building g the office was either closed or they were not there. We went to the other side to the other entrance and it was the same. No answer at all. Left a message when I called because there was no answer. How does a doctor leave when they have a scheduled appointment? I am not happy at all. There wasn’t even a reminder call or other wise for this appointment. It was confirmed but it was such a waste of time. I am not happy at all.

Dr. Mehl has a very pleasant and confidence inspiring demeanor and manner. He was very responsive to any questions I asked. He took good care of my problem nail and normal nails and my feet. I was a little anxious before the first visit and Dr. Mehl, by his explanations, immediately put me at ease and his care of my feet was with obvious skill and care.

I don't write reviews but needed here. 30-minute wait; politely asked about it. Unfriendly assistant (other mentions of her in reviews; sure must be same person); no apology or reason replied, "I"ve never been to a doctor's office when they take you on time." I understand delays; a courteous, "we're sorry for the wait" is not unreasonable. Dr Mehl pleasant but did not even suggest aftercare for my broken toe: not icing, elevating, Tylenol, just had stim on it, said come back in a week. Meanwhile ol' meanie, who administered the stim, never stopped to check whether it was too high or low. I looked for her to make the next appointment, she said with no smile, I'll put it in. She didn't even come to the window but spoke from the hallway. 5 minutes after I left the office, she called me to repeat when did I want to return, but couldn't even get my name right. I said thank you but I won't be coming back. There are plenty of podiatrists in Forest Hills.

By far one of the most AMAZING, CARING, EXPERIENCED Podiatrist you will ever meet! . I went to several Podiatrist for my daughter's foot issue and pain,but none where able to figure out what the issue was and its cause . Dr.Mehl was the ONLY one who was able to solve the issue. My daughter has been able to walk with more ease and hardely any pain since Dr.Mehl's visit. He really is one of the doctor's who cares about your situation and tries to assist as much as he can. I HIGHLY refer as ONE of the best Poditrist around! Very fortunate to have him as my daughter 's podiatrist.

I saw Dr. Mehl 4 years ago for a fractured foot.
He is amazing as I was looking at surgery, His expertise kept me away from that and there is nothing wrong with my foot now.
I have another problem with my other foot and Dr.Mehl is my go to doctor for any foot problems.
I love his receptionist as well!

Overall a positive experience, Dr Mehl was excellent. The wait it time until I was seen was a little long 3:35pm for. 3:00pm appointment. I arrived at 2:45pm to complete paperwork. The office was busy so perhaps there were just to many appointments in the same window.

Dr. Mehl and his staff were courteous, kind, and patient. The office decor is slightly outdated and the office could be a bit cleaner, but Dr. Mehl is fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone seeking a podiatrist.

Second visit for this physician. Arrived 5 minutes before my appointment and the waiting area was FULL (ok, there were 4 patients BUT the waiting area is very small so it was full). It took quite some time to see the patients ahead of me so it was a good 45 - 55 minute wait. I did not mention anything to the doctor or the front but I need to see the doctor in a more timely fashion in the future. I have an elderly (90) mom I care for and I don't like to be away for any extended periods of time so this visit today caused tension and stress that I did not need. Hope they improve with this situation, the doctor is actually very good.

Dr Mehl is an amazing foot specialist. I highly recommend him. 2 years ago I broke my foot and I was looking at surgery, but Dr Mehl managed to keep me away from this. I recovered and got back to normal activities. Unfortunately something at my job dropped on that foot and I went back to him and was relieved to know it was just bruised. I’d never trust anyone else with my feet.

Arrived at 11am for 11:15 appointment but no one was present, locked door. Called to see what was happening and message said office will be open at 11 on Monday (4/18/22). A few minutes passed and the doctor approached with grocery bags, so I’m guessing he had to make a quick shopping trip. Afterwards I was seen very quickly. Overall very good visit and the doctor took care of me in a timely manner. He also referred me to a Neurologist to further address my issues.

I came in with foot pain, received a diagnosis, got some type of therapy from a machine, a shot, and a prescription. Ill go back in two weeks to see how its going but it seems the doctor is very proactive in diagnosing and treating the issue!

I visited him today(July 6,2020) for the first time. I broke my foot and needed to see the specialist. Dr Mehl is very professional and very experienced. He can even write upside down so that he can explain to me with pictures!!! Staffs are very friendly and nice too. Highly recommend!

I didn’t like one of the receptionists in his office, Mrs. Bluestein, she wasn’t the most professional. But the other receptionist was wonderful !
