Gabrielle Samo Counseling
Gabrielle Samo Counseling is for people moving through seasons that have changed them. Grief. Loss. Anxiety. Trauma. Infertility. Big transitions that quietly rearrange your identity and understanding of yourself. On the outside, you might still be functioning. On the inside, something feels different. Unsettled. Questioning. Tired of holding it all together.
Therapy with me isn't focused on fixing you. I don't see you as broken; I see you as someone who adapted in the ways you had to. Together, we get curious and begin to understand those adaptationsmore deeply. We slow things down enough to notice patterns, beliefs, and nervous system responses that are shaping your experience now.
I work relationally. That means our connection matters, and I'm an engaged, present, and human in the room with you. I will reflect patterns, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge what no longer fits. I also know that trust takes time, and I respect your pace.
Clinically, I integrate EMDR, CBT, ACT, Polyvagal-informed work, contemplative practices, and holistic perspectives. In practice, that means we might process trauma, explore core beliefs, build regulation skills, and also talk about your routines, relationships, movement, food, and community. Because you do not exist in isolation, and everything is connected.
My work is deeply shaped by years in hospice care and my own lived experience with profound grief. I know what it feels like to be unraveling while the world keeps moving. That experience allows me to sit with intensity without rushing you out of it.
I believe meaningful change comes from awareness, honesty, and relationship. My role is to walk alongside you while you reconnect with yourself in a way that feels steady, grounded, and true.
