The physicians and staff of Gastroenterology Consultants, P.C., in north metro Atlanta, provide excellent community-based, patient oriented care addressing all aspects of the diseases of the digestive tract and liver. Our board-certified physicians deliver personalized, comprehensive digestive healthcare and preventative cancer screening. Our passion for our subspecialty is rivaled only by our compassion for our patients. Our experience is second to none in north Georgia: collectively our three physicians have been practicing gastroenterology in this region for over 80 years. We support expanding knowledge in gastroenterology through clinical research and invite our patients to participate in treatment studies that seek the best clinical care now and in the future.

I had an appointment with Dr. Cherner for heartburn, and I can’t recommend him enough! He was incredibly attentive, listened carefully to everything I shared, and even researched my specific case in medical studies beforehand. He’s extremely thoughtful, explains everything in detail so that I could fully understand, and genuinely cares about his patients. Simply put, he’s an amazing doctor.

Very efficient assistant, Anthony. No wait at all to see Dr Cherner. Office very clean and orderly. Dr Cherner spent two hours with me going over my medical history and concerns. Extremely knowledgeable and conservative in his approach to treatment. Wants as much information as possible before making recommendations. Felt very secure about his care and judgment.

Dr. Cherner is great. He is not a five minute dr jumping from one room to the next. He will spend the time needed and listen then go out of the way to put 2 and 2 together.
Staff is the same way, I had a 20 minute call with staff to go over why I need to see the dr and they are also very knowledgeable.
I highly recommend dr. Cherner and with him and his staff the best!
