Extremely disappointed with my visit. I was not seen by the doctor with whom I booked my visit, but with a nurse practitioner after an hour and ten minutes of waiting. She refused to prescribe me medicine I was cleared to take (and had been taking for 8 years) because she “didn’t know” me. I was unable to bring up some health concerns due to her pushing for labs and leaving the room quickly. I asked for a cardiologist referral since I was looking for a new one, but she just gave me an open referral letter and didn’t specify a cardiologist. So much more I could write about. The staff at the office are friendly but that’s the only positive thing I can point out about this experience.

I specifically booked this doctor because he was a male given the sensitivity of the area I needed be observed. I specifically stated the area in the notes. I received a phone call to confirm appt and they asked me if a nurse practitioner was ok if dr not available, I said yes as long as it’s a male given the area I needed to be seen. They said that’s fine. I go into the appt today and I was asked the same question and I repeated yes as long as the NP is a male. (On top of it, I’m sure I passed by the male Dr coming out of the restroom as well) the nurse came back in the room and tells me only a NP is available and they are a female. I felt duped so the office can run my insurance and corner me to seeing a female doctor to observe my genitals. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL !

I went in for a routine physical. I haven’t had one in over five years. I had to wait over an hour to see him which wouldn’t have been an issue if I felt like I was being thoroughly looked at. The doctor was knowledgeable and asked me if there was anything wrong (and I had nothing specific bothering me) but he didn’t even put his hands on me. Not once. Didn’t examine me or anything. Sure, I said nothing specific was bothering me but I’m not medically trained and I would’ve felt better if he had done any sort of actual exam on me. I don’t think he was being dismissive or anything, I think it’s something he probably didn’t think much of but I left feeling like I didn’t get what I had scheduled for.

If anyone is looking for help with substance abuse I would highly recommend Dr. Bachar. He and his staff at Northview wellness are kind and compassionate and you can tell they really want to help people.

Being a new patient, I felt very welcomed and right at home. The staff was overly welcoming and open to me, assisted me in every way possible personally and with my health going to make this my primary doctor’s office due to having such a great first impression and great healthcare Would highly recommend especially if you are new to the Atlanta area.
