Golden Heart Counseling
I specialize in supporting overwhelmed, anxious perfectionist adults on their journey toward balance and well-being. If you find yourself feeling weighed down by high standards and persistent stress, you’re in the right place. Life is hard. It is hard for everyone in different ways at different times. When people are in a season of their life that is impacting their mental health; it can overlap into all aspects of their life. Work feels harder. Relationships are impacted. Everything feels ten times heavier.
Therapy is a space to process your struggles and stress which can greatly improve a person's mental health. My approach to therapy is very client centered and we work on what you want to work on. I usually give "homework" or a food for thought in between sessions, but it is your time. I'm a pretty laid back therapist with a warm, conversational approach with a sprinkle of sarcasm and humor.
Mental health is health and therapy is no different than getting a cast for a broken bone. I'm not here to "fix" my clients, but rather help them navigate their life in a way that works for them.

I was really nervous about finally having my first therapy appointment. But I am so lucky it was with Dr. Anne! Right away I felt at ease and she made it very comfortable to open up. I’m looking forward to my next visit and hopefully many more!
