Good, comfortable chemistry is the most important factor for getting the best results and sooner, the research shows. That's why I offer a free 15 minute initial conversation so you can see whether you feel like I'm right for you.
Time and again, both my couples and individual clients tell me therapy with me is unlike what they've done before. This will be no, "So tell me about your week" or "How did that make you feel?" therapy. You have goals; let's be results-oriented. You will have homework. But that doesn't mean this can't be fun & very rewarding....Technically, my methods are attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and neuroplastic. Metabolic psychiatry interests me greatly.
After Princeton and Yale, where I studied to be an Episcopal priest, I wen to Chicago to become a clinical psychologist. I love and married a Muslim woman whose parents are from India/ Bangladesh. I used to be a hospice chaplain and then a suicide negotiator (as a clinical psychologist II, not as a police officer). I served an Spanish-language, Mexican immigrant, LGBTQ+ Episcopal church in Los Angeles on weekends. Nowadays, I work with couples, including persons with trauma, bipolar and schizophrenic spectrum disorders. And I do evaluations for people adopting orphans in India.
