Dr. Joseph Gomes is a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician proudly serving the Northern California area where he was born and raised. After two decades in healthcare, spanning complex leadership roles, teaching, and serving as an End-of-Life Physician within some of the region's largest medical groups, Dr. Gomes has transitioned his practice to the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model.
Dr. Gomes is committed to rejecting 'Cookbook Medicine' and the 'big box' philosophy that prioritized profit over personalized care. By capping his patient panel size to less than a quarter of a traditional practice, Dr. Gomes ensures he has the time and freedom to focus on your interests, not the insurance company’s.
In his Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice, you are never 'just a number'. You will receive compassionate, customized care that restores the doctor-patient relationship to its proper central role.

Dr. Gomes is the ONLY Folsom, CA physician offering Fit3D scanning to complement his comprehensive weight management program. He is the only Northern, CA physician offering SmartHeart EKG testing. This, in addition to primary care, preventative care, a focus on improving wellness, many procedures offered and more. The choice is clear.
