Gotham Smiles
Dr. Leo Blais is a leading provider of cosmetic and general dentistry and is a fellow of implantology through ICOI. He is also a faculty at NYU College of Dentistry where he enjoys teaching students there in the clinic. In addition to general dentistry needs, Dr. Blais embraces a more modern approach to your dental cleaning needs called the Sylc treatment. If you suffer from sensitivity or have had a difficult time at the dental office getting most stains removed from a typical cleaning, then the Sylc treatment will completely change your outlook. Dr. Blais also provides a service called "Weekend Smile Design" where you can transform your smile with veneers over a NYC weekend. If you have children, Dr. Blais can also set aside a Saturday for you in order to take care of all of your family needs at once in a more quiet office setting. Please call for more info.
Office policy: All bookings require a credit card preauthorization form filled out within 24 hours of scheduling your appointment. Forms can be found via zocdoc. There is a $75 cancellation fee charged for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or no-shows. The reason the office institutes a cancellation policy is that Dr. Blais sets aside a significant amount of time out for each and every patient so that your visit does not feel rushed and all questions are answered. This also prevents any delay for your visit upon arrival. He is ready to see you when you get there.

Simply put, Dr. Leo Blais is one of the best, if not the best, medical professionals I've ever encountered.
I take health very seriously. I follow a strict exercise and diet routine (not perfect, but always trying to improve), and likewise my bar for healthcare professionals is high. I am not satisfied with "average" medical care. As such I research doctors when possible (in the ER you get what you get of course) prior to consulting with them.
I specifically chose to book an appointment with Dr. Blais based on his reviews. Even though I was optimistic based on his reviews, I was still extremely impressed for the following reasons:
1) Dr. Blais is highly competent regarding his medical expertise/skillset.
2) Dr. Blais has a wonderfully positive attitude/bedside manner. He takes the time to educate you, and it was clear to me he truly cares about his patients' wellbeing.
3) I noticed Dr. Blais takes a lot of pride in ensuring he is using the best technology to do his job -- going the extra mile this way stood out to me since I have a background in tech.
I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Blais to any of my family or friends.

With Dr Blais you are in best hands possible. I was seen right away and Dr Blais was very informative and non-judgemental. The cleaning he does is top-notch something more akin to a spa treatment, an experience I have never had at any other dentist office. Your teeth feel clean visibly but without pain or sensitivity ( note I have very sensitive teeth). I am also doing invisialign with Dr Blais and took my last tray home and very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend Dr Blais for all dental needs!

This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with a dentist. As soon as I walked in he was ready to see me. So no wait time!
He used Vaseline on my lips so they wouldn’t dry out during my cleaning, consistently checked in with me during the cleaning to make sure I was comfortable. And the best thing yet, when it was all said and done he handed me a warm wash
cloth to wipe my face!!!
Felt like I was in a spa! Oh, and he also texts you personally (not a robot) to check in with you??

Dr. Blais is absolutely the most incredible dentist I have ever met - and I’m SO glad I did!! Having not gone to the dentist for a couple years, I was afraid of being met with judgement and comments with that heir of condescension we’ve all had to to deal with at the dentist. But immediately Dr Blais put me at ease with his kindness, intelligence and graciously ensured I understood the process throughout my teeth cleaning and dental X-ray.
Dr. Blais changed everything I thought I knew about dentists; he was very helpful informative in carefully explaining everything regarding my dental health as well as things to keep an eye on.

Totally for a follow up I had a couple of fillings. Dr Blais was very competent numbing the area with the right amount of anaesthetic ( I have had dentist give too much that it takes hours to wear off the lopsided look) and the fillings were painless and leveled correctly in the first go. Really happy I found Dr Blais. He’s not only very competent but also really cares for his patients!

I was seen right away with no wait.The cleaning was incredible. It was the first time I have had a cleaning in a dental office in which I didn’t feel so sensitive through it. Dr. Blais uses this stuff called silk, which I really loved. My teeth feel smooth, clean, and so fresh now. Additionally Dr Blais has a great bedside manner and makes you feel at ease, explaining everything and answering any questions. I highly recommend Dr Blais and will be returning to his practice again.
