I’m very selective when it comes to dentists and have a high standard for the practices they use for cleanings, in particular, along with the level of transparency they provide and bedside manner. I was very happy with my entire experience at Gramercy Dental Suite, from the front of house staff who called to confirm my appointment and verify insurance so there were no surprises, to the hygienist (Amanda) who was friendly, professional, and thorough with the cleaning, and Dr. Edwards, who was friendly and happy to educate me on his findings/recommendations. I’m so happy I finally found a reliable dentist in NYC after many failed attempts at various other practices.

I can’t call this a cleaning, or even flossing. Cleaning ended abruptly when the doctor entered the room. This doctor doesn’t ask questions, seems interested in upselling services or making follow up appointments, and wants to move on with his day. Attempts to shake your hand and give you a fake smile not to make it awkward.
I’d stay away. Book your cleaning elsewhere.

I have always hated going to the dentist and typically stave off as long as I can. Upon arrival at Dr. Edwards' office, I was immediately made at ease and actually thoroughly enjoyed my appointment. The staff was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. They moved swiftly but comprehensively and were pleasant and warm for the duration of my appointment. I will go as far as to say I look forward to a return visit :)

Although my insurance wasn't excepted, I kept the appointment. I had a brochure that offered a special. What a bargain for all that was included in that visit!!! I'm willing to come out of pocket for my next visit!! Highly recommended

I have always had issues and needed a good dentist, finally after over 20 year my dentist retired and I booked a visit with the Doc. The office puts you at ease and the staff a very friendly and helpful. The doctor was able to help me with an immediate issue that needed to be taken care of. From that experience I know that he is highly knowledgeable in his field, approached patient care as a whole and not piecemeal, and they ensure you are comfortable and fully informed the whole time. I'm going back and hope to have him take care of all my dental needs.

I highly recommend Dr. Matthew Edwards to everyone in need of an excellent dentist. The whole experience has just been wonderful! He is exceptionally great at what he does, he is calm, competent and super friendly. The staff is also wonderful, friendly and accommodating (from the front dest to the technician to the hygienist). The office is modern, clean and beautiful with impressive technology that I have been pleasantly surprised to see. During my routine check up appointment, he quickly identified two cavities, and addressed the problem quickly and efficiently without causing me any pain or discomfort. This has been one of my favorite and most positive experiences at a dentist's office.

Overall was a good appointment with a thorough cleaning. I thought the cleaning was a bit rougher and left my mouth a touch sore than normal. Only negative was the bedside manner and a few inappropriate comments made about political / social issues that could’ve been left unsaid.
