Great Neck Opticians has been providing the Great Neck community with friendly service, high- quality patient care, and great products since its doors opened in 1983. Over 30 years of experience we have fine tuned our frame selection to represent options for every taste and individual style.
Our primary focus at Great Neck Opticians is patient eye care. Our practice was built on providing the highest quality service and we will continue to do so by taking time to thoroughly examine each patient, using our expertise and leading edge technology. We believe in going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure customer satisfaction.

I arrived early to my appointment and filled out paperwork. I engaged with front staff briefly before meeting with optometrist. Front staff was a bit curt and would have proffered welcoming and friendly. I was only person there so I was a bit put off at first. She seemed to rush me a bit for initial exams before cleaning off machines. My eye doc, however, was friendly and warm and engaging. She balanced the environment enough that I will overlook initial impression. Thorough in exam and friendly in exchange.

I had a very disappointing experience at this office with my 8-year-old son. We were refused care simply because he was a little hyper and had difficulty sitting still.My child is on the autism spectrum, and like many children, he needs patience, understanding, and a supportive environment during medical visits. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and judged rather than helped.

Great visit. There was a different Dr there but she was just as good. Front desk staff understood that we only needed backup glasses this time so we didn’t need any special features. They were helpful and not pushy. One of the glasses were ready 3 days after, very fast. Thank you.

Dr. Pinkhasova wasn't in the office, but I was seen by Camilla (tech) and Dr. Diana (I believe). Both had great bedside manner and were very helpful. My eye was in incredible pain and Dr Diana diagnosed and helped with the pain management almost immediately. Highly recommend

Everyone in the office was very friendly, polite and were able to answer all the questions i had. Even when it came down to getting the frames the staff member helping me was very polite and very patient because i also had so many questions about the frames, different types of lenses and the cost. I was able to try on quite a few frames while i was there and i didnt feel rushed at all which i can say is a definite plus. The office was also quiet with great atmosphere.

Dr. Yelena Pinkhasova is such a sweetheart with a great bedside manner. She’s knowledgeable, easy to speak to, answers all your questions and addresses all concerns. She has a gentle touch when doing an eye exam. I highly recommend her!

Overall not a good experience with Great Neck Opticians. The ophthamologist was very nice and pleasant but was 45 minutes late for my appointment for no particular reason that I was told. The optician who also answers the phones was strange on the phone and did not want to answer simple questions. She said "we are not allowed to give out insurance information on the phone" Also after the exam my eyes were dilated and I was not thinking too clearly! I should've had my strategy ahead of time to deal with the used car saleswoman like optician. All prices seem high and "negotiable" Why should a pair of non-prescription sunglasses be so terribly expensive. Go elsewhere if you want reasonable prices.

The staff is horrible. They didn't clearly tell my parents about the different features they were adding in the glasses and charged them. My mom said the doctor basically made her get the extra features despite her saying now. Don't recommend!

I would recommend this place to others. The staff were friendly and professional. the wait time was a little long and the pictures didn't match the surround locations though. I recommending driving instead of commuting.

Very friendly and knowledgeable doctor who listens and seems genuinely caring. She was kind to my 11 year old son. Staff was also knowledgeable and wasn’t pushy. He was honest about helpful. We’ve been going there for 5 years but this visit seemed was the best. The wait wasn’t too long and although it was close to closing time we weren’t rushed.

I had a great visit with Dr. Pinkhasova. She helped me with an eye exam for my contact lenses. She is very friendly, professional and efficient. The staff was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would high recommend Dr. Pinkhasova and I have already made another appointment for an eye checkup. Overall it was very convenient and parking was easy. It’s in a great location that is perfect to find.
