Great Oak Psychiatry provides comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation, therapy, and medication management for adults seeking real, lasting change. You get careful detailed diagnosis, thoughtful treatment, and a structured path forward, not rushed, one-size-fits-all care. The human “mind” is at complex and interactive jungle with multiple canopies instead of a singular entity. There is nature and nurture, software and hardware, the central nervous system and the larger body it is imbedded within. As such, it is important that your presentation be evaluated from multiple angles to understand how all these systems come together to produce your symptoms. The traditional MD psychiatric workup is called the “Biopsychosocial” evaluation and includes many of these factors. There are further models such as the “Perspectives” that further expand upon the interactive components. We will do a comprehensive workup of your case with initial focus on your chief complain / reason for coming in. Beyond clarifying your chief complaints and unlocking treatment options to resolve them, we will continue a detailed evaluation that will unfold over three to five visits. From this workup, we will develop a biopsychosocial formulation and multipart treatment plan that will improve your symptoms via synergy across these systems. ***DISCLAIMER***: Our practice gets charged by zocdoc for each booking. Please upload scans of your insurance card asap so that our office staff can verify if your plan is actually in-network. We will reach out via messaging and call you asap after your booking. If you do not coordinate with us within 12-24 hours to confirm that we are set to work as in-network vs out-of-network, we will consider this as your request to cancel your appointment on your behalf. We need to cancel the appointment on your behalf within 24 hours of your initial booking in order to not be inappropriately be charged by Zocdoc for a client who unexpectedly is not in-network. Due to the diversity of insurance panels and insurance's troublesome non-transparency, we request that you respond to us the same day as your booking to mutually verify our ability to meet.
