I first went to see Dr Francavilla Brown because of the convenience of being able to book an appointment online. I continue to see her because she actually pays attention to what I have said and makes good recommendations. She is also the only doctor I have ever had that has called me directly with test results and in response to questions. For once, I am seeing some progress for some long term problems.

As far as doctor's visits go, I had a very pleasant experience. The office was bright, clean and elegant, something that immediately put me at ease. The receptionist was kind and efficient and I was seen exactly on time, which I honestly didn't expect.
Dr. Francavilla was kind, attentive and knowledgeable. She listened to my issues and made me feel safe and comfortable. The appointment was relatively quick and I felt like we had a solid plan moving forward with my treatment.
I had to get my blood drawn and the technician/nurse who drew my blood was also kind and gentle and put me at ease when she noticed I was uncomfortable.
Overall, it was a good experience and I'm glad I chose Dr. Francavilla.

I never write reviews but hopefully this will prevent someone from a similarly odd experience. The "nurse" who was supposed to give me a shot had no idea what she was doing and looked like she was 16 years old and had disheveled long hair hanging straight down-- nurses are supposed to tie their hair back and not have it in their face. I heard her ask the receptionist questions before she got everything ready for the shot and I told her I decided I didn't want a shot anymore and I would be fine because she made me so uncomfortable. I wasn't about to let some child stick my arm with a needle. The doctor charges you extra if you do a skype meeting with her or if during your exam you ask "too many questions" for your Annual checkup. So I literally had to say "can you stop me when I am asking too many questions, I don't want to be charged". Don't go here unless you like being nickel and dimed for things you can find out on Google. Terrible bedside manner-- she wouldn't even perform a breast exam because she said "I'm sure your last doctor did that" and she acted like she didn't have any time to do anything.

I have been going to Dr. Francavilla for almost a year, and I am glad I have found a great PCP. She is very knowledgeable and helpful; she offers realistic advice for long-term life style changes. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a good primary. Appointments are easy to schedule and the front office staff is great.

I loved my appt. with Dr. Francavilla, but unfortunately for me, because I missed 3 appts., she will no longer see me after today. But it was nice of her to see me one more time, so she could refill my scripts. Most doctors wouldn't even do that if they were terminating you as a pt.!

I chose Dr. Brown as a potential new primary care Dr. after moving to Denver. My check up went well and she is very professional. I forgot one of my medications and called a few days later to add it to my list and get a refill, and was told that I would either have to pay a flat fee to talk to her or get charged by the minute to address the prescription refill. This is not a good start for me personally with a new primary care physician - it left me feeling that if I ever needed care, it was all about how I would be charged by the minute (so not a great score on bedside manner).

Dr. Brown is pleasant, knowledgeable, and very helpful. However, the two times that I have had appointments here have both left me feeling like I was some sort of drug addict and a liar. I was diagnosed with ADD over 5 years ago and have been taking a small dosage of medication to treat that disorder since then. After relocating to Denver, I waited for my new insurance to kick in before scheduling an appointment w/ Dr. Francavilla to get my prescription filled. I had eaten a few 10mg marijuana edibles less than a week before my appointment, so Dr. Francavilla refused to prescribe me the medication. I waited two weeks for a second appointment, but unfortunately the THC was still in my system (despite the fact I hadn't had any further edibles or marijuana in any form). The nurse practitioner (who was also very nice and helpful otherwise) was not permitted to write me the prescription because of Dr. Francavilla's policy. I am currently working full time and studying for the bar exam (about 15 hours a day total work time) but I am barely able to get anything done because of my untreated condition. Dr. Francavilla should reconsider her policy against prohibiting any amount of THC in your system before prescribing patients medicine that they need in order to function. Interestingly, there were no questions about alcohol use; essentially, one could be a raging alcoholic and still get the prescription, but a few edibles three weeks before, and it's unacceptable. Not many people will have this issue I'm sure, but it's telling how willing Dr. Francavilla is to withhold needed medication from patients based on Puritanical views on LEGAL substances. Would not recommend.

Dr Francavilla Brown is very upbeat and still professional. I started with her because of her background in Bariatrics, and she has helped me with several issues. I will continue to see her even though it is a bit far to drive. I highly recommend her if you have any weight management concerns, as well as other health related issues. I really love her upbeat attitude!
