Practice statement

Greenpoint Psychotherapy is a holistically minded practice. ***Currently all sessions are remote*** We function on the premise that by allowing ourselves to accept and experience our emotions, we will increase assertive behavior and move closer towards our true natures. We help clients with exploring how past relationships and experiences continue to impact their present life, with identifying and changing thought patterns that have become unnecessarily negative or rigid, and with learning to use difficult or painful experiences to gain more insight about themselves. We want to help clients move through the world with kindness and compassion rather than fear! We use an integration of psychodynamic, relational, CBT, DBT, yoga, and mindfulness to help clients to develop more of the characteristics they would like for themselves and improve communication. We are able to provide support and psychoeducation for many problems, but especially in the areas of trauma, life-change events, communication, and codependency. We are a growing practice and are currently taking new clients, with both evening and weekend hours available currently. We offer free in-person consultations so that you can meet with the therapist you are interested in working with in person before making a decision about treatment.
