Greenwich House Center for Resiliency & Wellness

At the Center for Resiliency and Wellness (CRW), our holistic approach to mental health treatment prioritizes personal growth and supports individuals in navigating life’s challenges. Our mission of promoting “resiliency and wellness” means we work with you to build coping skills, and we support you in learning how to address your emotional needs. No matter your individual experience, personalized mental health treatment can make a real difference in how you feel. Most people can use extra support at one time or another, whether you live with chronic mental health conditions (including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and more), or you are going through a hard time (experiencing loneliness, sadness, grief, worry, self-doubt or other overwhelming emotions). Group Therapy: Explore new opportunities for growth and connection with our inclusive community group sessions. Open to all, these sessions provide ongoing support and guidance across various topics, fostering personal resilience, as well as healthier and more meaningful connections. Current Groups: -- Resilient Men -- Participants explore the unique challenges men face with depression, breaking down stigma and developing healthier coping strategies. Weekly sessions will provide a safe space to share experiences, examine the roots of low self-esteem, and strengthen emotional resilience. Activities will include psychoeducation, group discussion, and CBT-based exercises to promote healing and personal growth. -- True Colors: LGBTQ+ - This 7-week-long group provides a welcoming, safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals from all walks of life to find community and mutual support. Participants can openly discuss health and societal issues impacting their daily lives. Other topics to be covered include gender identity, relationship exploration, work-related discussions, decisions about coming out, and LGBTQ+ history. -- Healing Through Clay -- Join us for an 8-week group therapy experience that integrates clay-making into the healing process. This supportive space helps participants explore creativity while learning skills to manage anxiety and depression. Through hands-on pottery activities led by Greenwich House Pottery, and participants will gain mindfulness techniques, coping strategies, and a sense of connection with others. -- Write About It -- group offers a safe, supportive space for participants to explore their experiences, build coping skills, and foster resilience through memoir writing and therapeutic techniques. Using structured writing and drawing prompts, discussions, and evidence-based interventions, participants will process emotions, gain insights into their personal narratives, and develop strategies for emotional well-being. Each week will focus on a specific aspect of emotional health, with guided prompts for reflection and discussion. ***To join a group therapy session at the Greenwich House Center for Resiliency and Wellness, you must first schedule an intake session by clicking the button below, by phone or email.***

I have been searching for the right therapist for a while, and it never seemed to feel right, meeting Sarah doing the intake and just communicating and just how interactive she was and attentive, I am glad I found her with zoc doc and my insurance is taken because I feel closer to my mental health journey goal, even though this is just the beginning of it
It went very well. He made me feel comfortable and was good at explaining things I didn’t understand

She explained everything so well and was a great listener. Actually looking forward to speaking again. Didn't feel rushed.
Faith made me feel comfortable and safe, only concern was a sudden problem with my health insurance.

They never got back to me after the initial first visit. They were supposed to find me a therapist within two weeks. Ghosted me.

Faith was extremely professional and engaging for my virtual intake appointment 10/24. I felt hopeful about getting help. Unfortunately, I've heard absolutely nothing from her about selecting my therapist or a supposed psychologist appointment at the practice. It is now December 11; she warned the match process could take two weeks. I've received zero updates. No one answers through phone or email. I'm confused, concerned, and distressed that I spent 45+ minutes detailing sensitive information to Faith only to be ghosted by the practice entirely. It seems that all of the providers at the practice are unavailable for scheduling via ZocDoc now, so perhaps this is an institutional issue. Either way, I would appreciate some kind of notification about the practice's status and a guarantee that my information wasn't gathered for some unknown purpose.

Very helpful and understanding

As a first timer for therapy, everything was explained to me clearly and when answering the questions, I felt really heard and confident that what I was sharing would end up helping me find the right fit for a counselor.
