This was my first time attending therapy and I was extremely nervous. She sensed it and eased my concerns right away which I truly appreciate because this was not an easy step for me to make. Highly recommend!
She is very direct and tells you how it is. She will say I have to tell you something, you may not want to hear it but I think you need too. She truly wants you to be the best version of you.
Sadiyah is incredible. Her style is warm, welcoming and solution oriented. Each session she gently challenges me to think through my problems from a wholistic perspective instead of my sometimes one sided viewpoint. I value each session with her. She has been so helpful in my work to becoming a better human being.

I appreciate Shanlle's treatment approach and would recommend her to everyone I know! With my previous therapy provider, I found it was more of a venting session and my mood determined the tone of the treatment sessions. There were times when I was seeking guidance on making certain decisions or gaining tips on how to best utilize the things I learned while in therapy, but I found it challenging as it felt like I had a lack of support. Overall, I struggled with holding myself accountable and motivated. With that, even if I come to our sessions feeling like I am in a rut or misunderstood, I always walk away feeling challenged, empowered, focused on my goals for being in treatment, and a warm fuzzy feeling because I finally feel seen by my therapy provider. I appreciate the expertise and experience that Shanelle brings to each and every session, especially those related to gaining perspective on my situation. Not to sound overly sappy, but I am looking forward to continuing our treatment-based relationship. I really hate to write negative reviews, but here I am. My partner and I were disappointed with our session. It didn’t feel like we were heard and the things we were asking for were not even addressed. I also did not realize that Grow Therapy was a venture capital “medical provider.” That’s on me. I will not be going to any other practitioners under that banner. Felt like we were being pushed into scheduling regular sessions just so we kept spending.
Dr. Garrido gave me a level of empathy and understanding that I had not yet experienced in my therapy sessions to date. He clearly understood what I was saying and when I had trouble evaluating my own feelings, rather than trying to explain how I felt, it felt like he was guiding me along to find how I felt myself. I really enjoyed my time with him and will be returning to him for more sessions!
Dr. Garrido was very friendly and fostered a calm, welcoming atmosphere during my appointment. He asked great leading questions to understand my situation, and he quickly assessed my current state.
