Selena was great and gentle with me as I have not been to the dentist in some time and would greatly recommend her.

The X-ray tech was wonderful. Very professional and friendly. The equipment was outdated but she made it work. But dentist either could not operate the equipment or it was malfunctioning. The nozzle sprayed water all over me. Doc tried to fix it but could not, so the appointment was a mess. The most concerning part of the appointment was that the dentist, Dr. Azar, kept pressing his mid section against my face throughout the appointment. I brought it to his attention and requested that he please not do this. He seemed unaware of the habit, tried to correct but ultimately kept pressing his midsection against my face. Additionally, Dr. Azar pulled on my cheeks somewhat roughly (from inside my mouth) to direct my head where he needed it for cleaning. It would have been more professional to direct me verbally rather than yank my face around by my cheek. I felt so uncomfortable that I ended the appointment early. I debated sharing this but feel that others should know of the behavior.

I had a fantastic experience at Dr. Azar’s dental practice. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff made me feel welcome and at ease. The hygienist was thorough and gentle, making the cleaning process smooth and comfortable. Dr. Azar himself has an excellent chairside manner—professional, attentive, and easy to talk to. He took the time to explain everything clearly and didn’t rush through the appointment, which I really appreciated. The office is clean, well-run, and you can tell the team works well together. It’s not always easy to find a dental practice where every part of the experience—from check-in to checkout—feels positive, but this is definitely one of those places. Highly recommend Dr. Azar and his team if you’re looking for quality care in a friendly, professional environment.

The office staff is great! The dentist is horrible. I came in for tooth pain. I got a cavity filled yesterday. I felt better at first even though the dentist cut the top of my lip and the inside of my lip. I never had this happen before with a fill in. Today I am in so much pain. It feels like the entire left side of my cheek is infected. I’ve had fill ins in the past and I’ve never had this happen. The fill in is so rough it feels like patchy cement on my back tooth. Pain killers aren’t working. I’m gargling and holding warm salt water in my mouth to try to get rid of the pain. I had a fever last night after coming from the dentist. I’m never going back to this dentist.

One of the best dentist experiences honestly. Selina, the hygienist was so warm and friendly and explained everything in a way I could understand, as well as really listened to me and any concerns I had. The doctor was also kind and knowledgeable Lastly, the wonderful lady at the front desk was so sweet and really helped out when I had questions regarding my insurance. The dentist is the dentist, but this office, although new, is professional, knowledgeable, and above all warm! I highly recommend

I saw a bad dentist in River Edge for over a year, found on ZD. An implant was loose so I made an appt with Dr. Azar. The office manager contacted me immediately to complete forms & I was all set for my appt. at visit they called me in less than 5 mins. Dione? took xrays. She has been with the practice 20+ yrs & it shows. The 1st time anyone ever talked me through each xray so I was comfortable. Selina (dental hygienist) was amazing, relaxing, & also talked me through each step of the cleaning so I was aware. She didn't talk too much either (hygienists like to talk with their hands in people's mouths, its the weirdest thing). Dr. Azar was to the point and good. Fixed my implant. bedside manner was slightly aggressive but I liked it. Instead of asking me to move my head, he moved it for me. I think he just knows his stuff & isn't trying to be too cute about it. I am a good patient so this didn't bother me. It might bother others who hate the dentist. Overall 8/10.Would def recommend.TY!

I visited this dentist and shared I felt a pain on a tooth where I had a root canal. They did X-rays and the examination felt rushed, alongside I did not receive the cleaning I wanted. We spoke for a maximum of 3-5 minutes before he left for the day. I did not feel comfortable with the service nor examination and so I did not return for the cleaning that was scheduled for another day. I then schedule a visit to another dentist office, and they agreed there was an issue with the tooth where the root canal was done, they had me to do X-rays and then a Dental CT, and I am now schedule to see a specialist as they saw that my root canal was done incorrectly (missed nerve), alongside I have an infection/pus from that tooth. I also mentioned this to the dentist that I did do blood tests and they shared I have markers for an active infection, but not sure where and I thought it may be that tooth as I felt some pain. I highly do not recommend this dentist.
