What to expect:
The first visit includes a full review of your medical history, including any labs and imaging that you provide. Dr. Florida performs a full TCM diagnosis, including a physical exam, pulse and tongue diagnosis, and discusses with you what this means. She will educate you on Acupuncture and how she can help, and provide you with an estimated treatment plan and recommendations. The first visit will include an Acupuncture treatment along with self-care and follow-up information. Return visits will be part of the treatment plan discussed at the first visit and will include follow-up questions, a review of your symptoms, and treatment.
Length of Visits:
Our first visit is typically 60 minutes; more complex functional visits may take longer, and quick pain treatments may be as short as 45 minutes. Return visits typically last 30-45 minutes, depending on needs.
How many sessions will I need? Most patient require a series of treatments to reach their health goals. Those with acute pain may only need 3-5 treatments, while those with chronic and more complex conditions may need 10-20 visits. Some patients may require long-term treatment plans. All of this will be discussed in the first visit.
FAQ: We have a full FAQ section on our website that answers common questions about Acupuncture and our treatment methodologies. We are also happy to answer all of these questions during the first visit.
Know before you go:
We are a modern clinic, and all of our forms are available online. You will have a check-in kiosk to notify Dr. Florida that you have arrived. We automate billing and checkout through our EHR, JaneApp, to keep things streamlined and simple for everyone.
Receptionist: We have a receptionist available during business hours to answer questions and assist with scheduling. Most of our practice details can be found on our website, and Dr. Florida does a thorough job of answering questions during a first visit.
Notes for after booking:
We will send you a welcome email from our JaneApp software, which will also include our intake form and reminder emails. If we have all of your information, we can confirm your appointment, and you are good to go. We may reach out if we need additional information.

I do NOT text, and do NOT wish to go and wait in an area that I am not familiar with, and that isn't even the correct location.
