Hello! I am Elizabeth Holt, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, as well as an Adult Nurse Practitioner managing chronic diseases in primary care and older adults (65+). I want my clients to feel heard, supported and confident in themselves. I am happy to work with clients that have a regular therapist and only need medication support from me. I'm excited to meet you, please find a time that works for you on my schedule! I have many years of experience in: outpatient anxiety and depression treatment, assistance with mood-related symptoms in menopause and post-partum, addiction medicine, geriatric care, dementia, palliative medicine and end-of-life. I love to help patients by evaluating clinical situations holistically and trying to manage as much as possible using the least amount of medication. In addition to being a medical provider I also teach Empowered Relief ® therapy classes, which gives therapeutic techniques to manage emotional disruption from chronic pain, and has been shown to reduce pain levels for 6 months after class attendance. Please see my website for details about those classes, I am credentialed through Stanford University to teach the classes. How is this practice set up? While you schedule through zocdoc, I see patients using Alma, Rula and Headway electronic medical management systems so that you can be seen through your insurance provider with the best rate possible. Therefore, I try to keep the 'consents' through zocdoc as streamlined as possible and might be sending you additional platforms that need additional consents. If this sounds confusing to you, don't worry! It is confusing to many people-- I will try to get you the care you need at the lowest cost to you out of pocket. When you schedule with Zocdoc, I will be sending you a sign up to either Alma, Rula or Headway confirm that your insurance will cover visits and give you an estimate of the costs to you. If you need labs done for medication monitoring (lithium, depakote, etc. ) I utilize online lab ordering so you can have lab work done at a patient service center that is convenient to you and so you have access to results. I can work with you to have the labs done with an in-network laboratory provider, such as labcorp or bio-reference, to lower your out of pocket costs. Ellie is a great listener and problem solver. An endoscopy showed I had the beginnings of Barrett's Esophagus, a painful irritation of the lower esophagus which can turn cancerous if not treated. Ellie recommended upping my dosage of omeprazole and using sugar free lozenges regularly. The saliva produced by the lozenges and subsequent swallowing of that saliva did wonders to alleviate the irritation. My gastroenterologist was amazed that the irritation was gone at my next endoscopy.
