John D. Gonzalez is an Adult Health and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He has practiced in outpatient and inpatient internal medicine. He currently maintains a per diem position as a Hospialist at a local teaching hospital. Holistic Integrative Health is a telemedicine, functional medicine practice. In comparison to mainstream (traditional allopathic) medicine, a functional medicine provider focuses on finding the root cause of the patient’s chronic health problem(s), rather than just managing the symptoms. He uses a functional medicine approach to evaluate and provide adjunctive treatment for chronic medical conditions. These conditions include but are not limited to hypertension, diabetes mellitus Type 2, prediabetes/insulin resistance, fatty liver, metabolic syndrome, autoimmune conditions, irritable bowel syndrome, hormone imbalances, fatigue, obesity, high cholesterol, and nutrient deficiencies. Treatment plans will include lifestyle modificiation, targeted supplement therapy, nutrition therapy, and medications when needed. John Gonzalez uses traditional and functional medicine labs to help identify the root cause of your condition and follow your progress. Other services offered are HIV Prep prescription, nutrition counseling and health coach visits. John D Gonzalez's focus is on patient centered healing. His visits are structured to explore your health conditions in detail and provide a safe environment, one in which you feel as though you are heard. He will work in collaboration with you to help you achieve a healthier you. Please note this is primarily a telemedicine practice. Home visits are available upon request for an additional fee. Depending on the treatment plan home visits may be required intermittently. Because John D. Gonzalez is in private practice, he is able to spend the time with you that you need and deserve. To maintain this model, this is a cash only practice, insurance is not accepted. Payment is required prior to the day of the visit.
