Hope Psychiatric Consultants
As many of my patients come from situations where they were often let down by others, I make it a point to always show up for my patients to the fullest capacity. In fact, I consider it my ongoing mission to always go above and beyond for each person who seeks mental health care from Hope Psychiatric Consultants. In addition to providing tangible treatments, I make it a point to create a judgment-free atmosphere in which my patients can speak their truth. After all, it’s only when patients feel safe enough to be open and honest that they can work together with a mental health care professional to get to the root of what is causing them distress.
Even in the toughest and darkest of times, I want my patients to be able to trust that they are in good hands through Hope Psychiatric Consultants. Not only will they be met with nurturing positivity, but they will also be given the tools necessary to healthily manage their mental illness. In addition, it is my goal to show my patients that they don’t have to be ashamed of requiring additional assistance in managing their mental health. Notably, according to the National Institute of Mental Health, “Mental illnesses are common in the United States. Nearly one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (52.9 million in 2020).” As you can see, mental illness is prominent in our society and nothing that should be taboo to seek help for.

I booked an appointment and the doctor never showed or contacted me in my time of distress. I will not book with this provider again. Unprofessional conduct to not call or anything. Do not add appointments if you are unable to commit to the time. Provider was. No-show for the appointment. I called and left messages but noresponse.

The young lady working at the Mississippi office named Tamara, did not listed when I told her I do not need medication management I have a doctor for that already, therapy only said 5 times minimum, she still out me with dr Yolanda King which she was an amazing person and I would love to have therapy with her however Tamara sent me to her to get meds which I told her I do not need. Therapy only.. then I get the therapist, she was a half hour late and had conflicting stories for an excuse. On top of it this therapist is not a good fit for me, she didn't even read the hours worth of notes Yolanda King had taken down, and she was doing a lot of writing. So I basically had to start all over again wasting the first hour completely. I don't feel comfortable with this therapist they paired me with an the office, she call me tomorrow or I'll call them.

When I joined my appointment call it was not the therapist I booked with. It was a man and I had no idea who he was and he only explained who he was after I asked a few times. He was very nice but I did not book with a male counselor for a reason. He asked me very personal questions and information but was not who I booked with so I was uncomfortable. He said that my actual therapist will reach out after that appointment. She has not reached out and it has been weeks. I still do not know who that man was that I spoke to for an hour. Still have not once spoken to the therapist I booked with. This is extremely unprofessional. I have been in crisis for weeks now and the therapist will not contact me back. The therapist also talked so much about himself and his problems (again I did not even book with this man!!!). If you are going to be in the mental health field you can not just give client information out to other therapists. So unprofessional.

She is absolutely phenomenal!! I was nervous at first choosing a doctor and I kept rescheduling my appointments. She called me herself and we got the appointment done . She made me feel very comfortable, listened to what I had to say and explained everything to me in a clear and concise manner!! She’s a very nice doctor. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and goes above and beyond . I am so glad I found her and she helped me get over my fear ! Thank you !

I felt like I was genuinely being listened to about the problem I was having. Something my prior PCP did not. Made it very easy to contact her if anything arose after my appointment. Had an issue with my pharmacy and she was available over the weekend (my appointment was on a Friday) and by early Monday morning the problem was already taken care of.
