Wait was a little long but I scheduled during a busy time right around lunch. Dr Hester was no nonsense and confident, he checked me out and answered all my questions enough to give me comfort to schedule a very sensitive procedure immediately. The surgery itself is healing well and I recovered fairly quickly.

Dr. Hester was a very professional doctor with a warm bedside manner. His front office staff was far and away some of the best I've had the pleasure of dealing with in the last couple of years !

1. Administrative (office) staff needs help/training:
A. This patient was not greeted when he got to the desk, a simple "hi, howdy" or "good morning" would have made a difference,
B. There was no option to complete a patient history on the internet so I had to complete a hard copy at the office. It took 20 minutes for the documents to be provided, 10 to fill them out and over an hour before the "interview/input" process was completed,
C. Although my correct phone number was entered multiple times on the documents, an incorrect old number was recorded on the patient portal. I can't register for the portal until the admint staff corrects the number,
2. Medical staff was excellent:
A. Medical assistant could have introduced herself by name and title (may have had name tag I didn't see) but was efficient and blood draw was painless, no bruises,
B. Perhaps it is office protocol but it seems to me the patient ought to be told his vitals by the assistant without the patient having to ask,
C. Doctor friendly, efficient and responsive to all my needs, Rx were electronically transmitted and ready for pick up a half hour later/
3. A. Total time for visit which included in processing, urine sample, doctor's visit and blood draw was about 2 hours, 15 minutes - I am retired and OK with this.
B. Perhaps the admint folks were having a bad Friday but there are always ways to improve customer service!

This was my first visit to a urologist and I am blessed to have picked Dr. Hester. The staff was friendly and efficient. Wait time was about 30 minutes but well worth it. Dr. Hester was very through and informative, and I did not feel rushed. I am a return patient for sure!

Very pleased with the doctor and staff. The visit went well with no complaints. Not crazy about the location. Too hectic when you are not use to the location. I was not the only one confused in the parking area. I witness a couple of people walking around trying to find the elevators or stairs.

I arrived about 20 minutes early for my appointment and they were actually able to get me in earlier than what I was originally scheduled for! The staff was outstanding, very helpful and friendly. Dr. Hester took the time to actually talk to me and asked a lot of questions to actually understand my concerns and to get to know me better than any doctor I've ever had before!
I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hester to anyone!

Everything was good except they told me to be there 35 minutes before my appointment time to fill out forms (medical history, etc.). My appointment time was for 8:00 am so I arrived at 7:25. Problem was that they didn't open up their office until 7:50.

For most men my age, the least favorite thing we have to do is discuss problems with our Urologist. Dr. Hester instantly dispelled my concerns and by the end of my first visit I felt completely comfortable discussing my issues. Plus, the office staff and nurses are fantastic about making an otherwise uncomfortable visit something I look forward to - and that's so important to helping all men keep appointments and stay healthy!
