Houston West TMS
Houston West TMS is a psychiatrist directed Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Center in west Houston. We are currently NOT ACCEPTING General Psychiatry Patients or Medication Management Patients....ONLY TMS PATIENTS.
TMS is an FDA cleared device to treat Treatment Resistant Depression. It involves 6-8 weeks of daily treatments. More than 3 out of 4 patients who have not responded to multiple medications and psychotherapy have had a positive result improving their depression and quality of life.
Insurance will cover TMS for depression if the patient has not achieved results from 2-4 antidepressants, medication to boost the antidepressants and psychotherapy.
Patients who do not meet the multiple insurance company hurdles can self pay. At Houston TMS we also offer self pay TMS for less severe depression, anxiety, migraines, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and bipolar depression among other off label conditions. Once again, PLEASE do not schedule an appointment unless you are seeking TMS and are interested in paying for it yourself or have already failed several medications and psychotherapy and want to see if insurance might cover TMS.
