Humanistic Psychiatry
Humanistic Psychiatry is a private telehealth practice founded by board-certified psychiatrists Dr. Abigail Landenberger and Dr. Jonathan Sy. We provide psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management for adults throughout California.
We built Humanistic around the kind of care we believe a psychiatrist should provide: time to understand you, thoughtful treatment, and an ongoing relationship with the person helping you get better. Our psychiatrists trained at the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Hawaii, bringing their medical expertise and a deep interest in people to every conversation.
We want to understand what’s contributing to your symptoms—your history, relationships, current pressures, and patterns that may be difficult to change. Together, we explore those connections and identify practical steps toward feeling and functioning better. Therapy is part of that work, and medication is considered carefully, with your questions and preferences central to the discussion.
Your first visit includes a full hour with your psychiatrist to discuss your concerns and begin developing a treatment plan. As care continues, you work with the same psychiatrist, building on that understanding over time.
We are a self-pay practice and do not accept insurance. Superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
