Hyperbaric Medical Solutions (HMS) is a physician-led practice delivering personalized, medical-grade hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and regenerative medicine across five locations: Manhattan and Woodbury, NY; Fort Lauderdale and Miami, FL; and Randolph, MA.

All hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBOT) sessions are preceded by, and based upon, a consultation that reviews patient history, determines an optimal care plan, and clears patients for care.

Led by National Medical Director Dr. Alan A. Katz, MD, FUHM, FACEP, FAAEM — double board-certified in Hyperbaric and Emergency Medicine, and an elected Fellow of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine — our clinical team builds each care plan around a comprehensive medical evaluation to enhance healing, accelerate recovery, and support cognitive and physical function.
HBOT is a non-invasive treatment in which you breathe 100% medical-grade oxygen at increased atmospheric pressure, fueling cellular repair, improving circulation, and supporting long-term healing.
As an outpatient practice, we treat the non-emergent approved indications — including radiation tissue injury, diabetic lower-extremity wounds, sudden sensorineural hearing loss, chronic refractory osteomyelitis, and failed grafts and flaps — as well as evidence-supported off-label conditions such as concussion and traumatic brain injury, surgical recovery, and inflammatory bowel conditions. Emergent indications requiring hospital-based care are not treated in our offices.
Consultations are most often covered by insurance, as are approved indications for HBOT.

Your appointment is an initial evaluation. HBOT sessions are scheduled separately, following clearance.
Some patients require additional testing before treatment can begin — commonly a chest X-ray, and occasionally other diagnostic studies. These requirements are determined individually and exist to ensure your safety, particularly with certain lung-related conditions.
Insurance coverage for HBOT depends on your diagnosis, medical necessity, and your specific plan. Coverage cannot be confirmed before your consultation and clinical evaluation.
