Located on the Upper West Side, our goal is to educate each patient while implementing a functional, finite treatment plan. At Integrative Spine and Sports, we believe that by diagnosing the source of your injury, we can correct the habits that are causing you pain.
Our staff offers over 50 years of experience, integrating the latest in sports medicine and spine research with the personal attention, care and respect that we’d hope to receive ourselves.

Zocdoc shows the provider taking my insurance, but when I arrived they said I owed a co-pay amount higher than my card says for in-network. They confirmed that they were in-network but said to pay the higher amount and I would be reimbursed by the insurance company. When I said I wasn’t comfortable with this and tried to cancel the appointment, they said it was fine to pay the lower copay. I was first seen by a medical assistant, who asked me all of the same questions I had already answered in the lengthy check-in paperwork. I saw the doctor 40 minutes after my appointment time, and she came in and said, “This is for your foot?” even though I had just gone through the whole intake process for my knee. She was very distracted when asking me what hurt, and I don’t feel like she listened to me. She did an ultrasound and didn’t discuss her findings, just told me it was something that women my age who run often get and then gave me a script for PT. The whole visit with her was 5 minutes.

Dr Lal was fantastic. She really listened to me and asked me alot of questions. She did a thorough exam and discussed my treatment options in details. She was very knowledgeable and gave me both conservative, non invasive options as well as discussing prp and stem cells. I was very happy with my visit. I will also be seeing the physical therapist in her office. Highly recommend!!!

The front office staff were very pleasant, helpful and hectic. The assistants were able to get insurance approval diligently, and get back to me in a decent amount of time.
Dr Lal was both professional , a bit too casual and a bit hectic. She made it clear what could be done for me and my condition and arranged for proper follow through.

I've been seeing Dr. Lal for a little more than a month and I'd recommend her without hesitation! Everyone in the office is personable and quite accommodating. And my max waiting time has never exceeded 5 minutes.
Dr. Lal is thorough, up on the latest treatment options and during every visit, she takes her time explaining things and answering questions. I never feel rushed.

If I could give Integrative Spine & Sports a million stars, I would. Dr. Lal is amazing. And I think just saying amazing is still not giving her as much credit as she deserves. I'm very much into a multi-sport lifestyle. Actually, my entire life has pretty much been dedicated to swimming, biking, and running. I am SO COMPETITIVE that everyday I get up, I'm just pushing my body to the max. I'm not happy doing anything but pushing myself and testing my physical limits. HOWEVER, years of this has taken a toll on my body. It just has. I can honestly tell you that I have been to nearly every sports doctor and pain management doctor in this city - none were even close to being helpful. I was so discouraged because I was getting no help, my body was in so much pain, and the racing that I love to do so much was seriously suffering. Truthfully, discouraged doesn't begin to describe the way I was feeling. But then someone said that, before I threw in the towel and gave up, go and see Dr. Lal. So I did. And from day one, she has been nothing but AMAZING. Finally a doctor that understood how much I loved sports. Finally a doctor that listened to me. Finally a doctor that had the knowledge, ability, and desire to help. Oh yeah, and let's not forget that one weekend (a Saturday in fact) I was having so much trouble and pain because an earlier issue I'd been having REALLY came back. Like "ouch, did a bear just bite down on me?!?!" type of come back. So I emailed her and her assistant....not expecting to hear anything back until Monday. She's incredibly awesome so I knew she'd get back to me right away on Monday and get me in for an appointment ASAP. Here's the really amazing part: Within an hour of sending my email, I had heard from both of them and now had medication waiting for me at the pharmacy....AND an appointment for the coming week. On top of that, Dr. Lal did a follow up call the very same day. Yep, she called me on a Saturday and said "Hey, It's Dr. Lal I'm calling just to really make sure you are ok? It's important to me that we get you healthy again and doing the things you love."
YEP. You read that correctly. She called me on a Saturday (WOW! Boom...mind blown that a doctor cared that much). And she let me know that my health was just as important to her as it was to me.
With her, you are not a numbered patient. You have a name. You are her patient 24/7, not just during certain business hours, on certain days. Or when it's just convenient. She HONESTLY cares. She's INCREDIBLY good at what she does. Yet she's still so down to earth. Her bedside manner can't get any better. She's awesome. Simply, awesome. I could go on and on but you get it by now how great I know she is......
Oh yeah, and now I'm back and swimming, biking, and running better than ever!

Dr. Lal did an incredible job AGAIN. My first procedure with Dr. Lal was for a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injection on my torn UCL in my elbow. The procedure went flawlessly. I did not experience any pain and after a few weeks of rest my elbow was better than ever. A week ago I returned to have the same procedure done on my torn ATFL in my ankle. Dr. Lal and her staff again did an incredible job with me. After just a week I'm already walking with no pain. I give Dr. Lal and her staff at Integrated Spine & Sports my highest recommendation. If you have an opportunity to be under her care you should do so because there is no doctor that I know that is better.
