Dr. Massa is an exceptionally qualified and intelligent psychiatrist with a deep understanding of addiction and co-occurring conditions such as PTSD. Although he is polished and highly professional, he is also genuinely human, patient-centered, and collaborative. He listens, respects where a patient is in the process, and works with you rather than simply telling you what to do. There is both an art and a science to medicine, and Dr. Massa excels at both. As a highly educated professional, I have often struggled to find a physician who combines strong clinical expertise with patience, humility, and genuine human connection. After seeing Dr. Massa for several years, through long periods of sobriety as well as setbacks, he has consistently helped me move forward without judgement. Dr. Massa’s care has helped me tremendously, and I can honestly say that I am likely alive today in part because of him. I am deeply grateful for his knowledge, consistency, compassion, and commitment.
