I usually find the first appointment with any therapist to be rather awkward, but she felt very non-judgmental, was a great listener and made me feel super comfortable. Even though they knew my diagnosis AT THE OUTSET, I clocked out of work and spent 45 minutes having a consultation only to be told at the end of my session that my condition "is not treated at SOHO MD." I re-iterated that I also have X condition I would like help in managing but was still basically turned out. They knew my 3 diagnoses at the front end so why have the appt still? I wasted 45 min disclosing personal information and then being charged a co-pay (bc they ask for your card beforehand; very tricky) and receiving literally nothing in return.
