Janelle Suber, LCSW

Hello and welcome to my practice! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges and transitions. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have had the privilege of working with diverse populations--including older adults, veterans, and young adults. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to support personal growth, resilience, and meaningful change. Whether you're facing a period of transition or seeking deeper self understanding, I'm here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. My approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in empathy. I believe that each person holds the capacity for growth and change, and my role is to support you in uncovering your inner resilience while navigating life's challenges. I draw from evidence-based practices--including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques--tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Whether we're addressing anxiety, depression, grief, or life transitions, I strive to create a safe, nonjudgemental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life. In our first session, we'll start with brief introductions and explore what's bringing you to therapy. This helps me understand your needs and create a personalized plan for moving forward. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and often includes humor to help you feel at ease--even when discussing difficult topics. you can expect to leave each session with greater clarity, useful tools, and the feeling of being truly heard and understand.
