Jacobson and Chubak Endodontics is a boutique endodontics practice located in Midtown of Manhattan. The practice is limited to Endodontics - Root canal therapy, Retreatment, and related surgeries such as Apicoectomy.
With a focus on biologically based patient care using the latest technologies, we aim to treat each patient with the most up to date and comfortable care.
The office is all digital, digital x-rays, has a 3-D ConeBeam CT X-Ray, and all patients are treated with magnification using the Dental Operating Microscope. We use the latest in rotary and reciprocating instrumentation, including WaveOneGold, Protaper-Gold, Protaper-Next, ESR, and biological sealers like BC Sealer.
We know that root canal therapy and related surgeries can be scary to most patients and we aim to change your misconceptions with an experience that is comfortable, caring, and pain free/alleviating.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Chubak! He was so kind and understanding of my concerns, and patiently explained each step of the procedure, told me what it would feel like and frequently checked in to make sure I was doing ok. Every doctor should be trained to do the same. I went in thinking a root canal would be a terrible experience, when in reality, it was one of the best doctor's office experiences I've ever had. In addition, the front desk staff and technicians were extremely kind as well, and I had no trouble getting an appointment. They even called after my initial zocdoc booking to see if I wanted an earlier one. 100% recommend!

Dr. Chubak was excellent. The whole appointment took an hour from start to finish. He made sure I was super numb before starting and moved very efficiently. He checked-in to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Don't delay... I stressed way too much over getting my root canal done, and it was super painless. Thanks so much to the whole office (very efficient front desk!).

Bad news is that I had to have a root canal. Good news is that Dr. Chubak and his staff are excellent. I have had a few root canal procedures in my life and they were never pleasant. The root canal I had yesterday with Dr. Chubak was incredible (insofar as root canals go). At no point during the procedure did I have any pain or discomfort. Dr. Chubak told me that the procedure was going to take an hour...it took about 40 minutes. I arrived at 4:05 for my appointment and I was back at my office at 5:20 (and that includes the 1.2 mile walk back to my office). Dr. Chubak took the time to explain everything to me and walked me through what he was doing while he was performing the procedure. Dr. Chubak had another person working with him (I want to say her name was Jessica). She assisted Dr. Chubak on the procedure and she was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to also explain my x-rays to me. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Chubak and his team if you need a root canal.

It has been one of the most positive and painless experiences. From making the appointment on ZocDoc, to filling out the forms in advance online to the courteous, professional staff, everyone was so warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. The location is great and the office is stellar. Dr Chuback is absolutely fantastic. He explained everything to me in detail, started to work on my tooth same day as my consult due to my inexplicable pain and discomfort. He is warm, kind, caring and before he even started was sure to make sure that all my insurance and co-pay responsibilities were explained to me in advance. He kept me updated throughout the procedure and often asked if i was okay and if i felt any discomfort to raise my left hand. It wasn’t necessary. He even sent me a personal text this evening to make sure I was feeling okay and to call or text if i experienced any discomfort or pain. I can’t say enough about Dr. Chubak, the dental assistants and the entire staff. I am so happy I made the appointment and if I ever need this type of oral surgery again I know exactly where I am going, no hesitation.

This was my second root canal and first with Dr. Chubak. Granted my first root canal was back in 2005 but this experience was much better! I was in the office for exactly an hour including filling out paperwork and completing billing at the end. I went in the middle of the day and went back to work right after with no issues and no pain whatsoever. He explained things as he went along and I felt comfortable the entire time.

The front office staff was very welcoming and even tough I arrived a few minutes early I was attended right away. The dental assistant explained the whole procedure before I saw Dr. Chubak and once he came in he went over it again a bit more in detail. The only thing I felt was the novacaine shots, after that nothing, except the uncomfortable mouthpiece I had during the 45 minutes. I had absolutely no pain after the novacaine wore off. Dr. Chubak followed up by text after a couple of hours.

I saw the other doctor at the practice but he was awesome. Root canals are usually nightmarish experiences and this was not that at all. It was as comfortable as a root canal can possibly be and went quickly.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Chubak and his entire team. I was able to see Dr Chubak less than 24 hours after calling the office, he did a consult and determined I needed a root canal, and did it right there in the same appointment. I was so impressed with every person on his team; from the front desk to the dental assistants, everyone is kind, courteous and informative. They walked me through billing and insurance beforehand and made sure I understood how much the procedure would cost before they did anything, and once Dr Chubak began, he talked me through the entire process as he went. Both the front desk and the Dr himself checked up on me later on that day to see how I was feeling. It's been 2 days since I had the root canal and I'm pain free. Extremely professional, courteous and kind team, highly recommend !

I met with Dr Jacobson for my consultation/xrays, and then both doctors worked together on my root canal retreatment. Could not have asked for better care. Dr Jacobson was very thorough in my diagnosis and took time to compare my old and new xrays to rule out other treatment options, and took me through all the possible consequences. Then when it came for the procedure I was seen right away even though I was running late. The root canal retreatment was as quick as easy as you could realistically expect, and I had minimal pain afterwards easily treatable with OTCs. I also noticed that another patient came in while the Drs were still with me (again, I had been late), and Dr Chubak ducked out to make sure he was okay and apologize for the wait while they finished on me, which I thought was admirable. Recommend!

I have been to at least 6 dentists in my life, and this is one the bests. After the anesthetic injection I don't feel anything during the whole root canal process, except the noise of the drilling. The mask they use cover my mouth during the root canal has also made sure that the whole process is hygienic. Dr Chubak is attentive, easy to talk to and does a great job in explaining things all over. The front desk is also warm and welcoming. They even sent me my X-ray images afterwards, and I got a text from the Dr himself afterwards asking me how my tooth feel.

Dr. J was very patient, understanding and helped calm my nerves. He was funny and extremely informative taking time to answer all my questions.
