I've been seeing Jeff for a few months now and he's the best therapist I've had by far and I've had 4. I've told him things I never thought I would tell anyone and he didn't flinch or judge. I've never felt safe like this with a therapist before. It feels like I'm talking to a real person instead of a blank slate or a pure mirror, which is really important to me. I think he is a great therapist for more heady types of people. We can talk about anything from childhood trauma to anime to philosophy and sociopolitical patterns. He challenges my pre-existing beliefs and I always come out feeling smarter than before and not put down. When we talk about feelings and emotions, he explains my brain to me, instead of only comforting or validating my experience. That assurance works fine for some people, but it's never struck a note for me and I really like feeling like I'm taking a psychology class in college instead.
Honestly excited for my journey to wellness and I feel confident working with Jeffery Goodman! He already has put things into a perspective in which I see future appointments to be productive.
He’s very knowledgeable and well experienced and speaks clearly and listens very well. To me this means everything culminates into reassuring you that you’re in the right hands and with the right person to talk to.
