I have been working with men for almost 20 years now. One of my clients recently expressed to me that he is "grateful to have this space to be vulnerable because he feels that his wife would not understand." As humans, we need that place to be authentic, raw and honest with ourselves. My clients are creatives, attorneys, financial and media executives, engineers, and students, to highlight a few. They are grappling with family and career pressures, while struggling to care for themselves. Some are struggling with a substance dependency. Some are finding themselves acting out in a manner that is not serving them emotionally. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was in the retail industry in NYC in a variety of management roles with varying responsibilities. While I did learn a lot about myself and human nature, there were times that it tore me down both psychologically and physically. When I began to question my own worth, that spurred me to get some help and make needed changes. I have a family. I have a career. The juggling act can be challenging. I don't want to waste our time together. I am direct. I am honest. I am sympathetic and empathetic.I will listen. I will advise. I am not a guy who sits back and does not provide feedback. I want you to imagine what your life can be.Let's get there by working smartly. I'll have your back.
