Jennifer Stone Therapy

My practice specializes in treating adults to manage anxiety and stress, feel more fulfilled at work and in relationships, build confidence, and decrease depression. We will work together to identify goals that will enhance your life and address areas that may be holding you back. My active approach is focused on learning about the way you think to change the way you feel and what you do. I like to think of it as being a 'detective' of your mind. I am drawn to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) due to its active nature and ability to learn skills that can help quickly and lasting. CBT is one of the most researched types of therapy and shown to be highly effective for various psychological problems from anxiety and depression to weight loss and stress management. You are not alone in this and I am here to help.

Jennifer is so kind and compassionate. She made me feel extremely comfortable. I truly enjoy my sessions.

Very efficient. Wonderful manner and made me feel very comfortable.

Easy to talk to, and very friendly. I felt comfortable right away.
I visited Jennifer for the first time on 8/1. My first 2 sessions were a little broad-viewed as she explained she needed to get some idea of why I was coming in and some background. Now that I've had my 3rd session, I am really pleased with her! I'm horrible at "talking about my feelings" and her approach with activities and working through projects was really enlightening and helpful. She even gave me some stuff to work on at home inbetween sessions. As someone who dreaded talking about what's going on inside my head, I find myself eager to get back and work on things.
Jennifer is a very warm and empathetic person and especially strong on professional challenges. For me cognitive behavior therapy was very effective. I found it very useful that she explains the methods she uses and seems to support that with current research. She is very patient and follows up on previous sessions through homework and/or summaries.
Great bedside manner, very professional

I appreciate Jennifer's focus on practical exercises to work on the behaviors and issues we discuss during our sessions. Having homework between each session is helping me make changes in how I think and helps me to understand my behaviors and emotions. I can see the results from her action-oriented approach. I also really appreciate her calming and friendly demeanor.

Jennifer’s great! Working with her has been an ongoing journey of new learning’s and discoveries – challenging at times yet a very beneficial experience and well worth the investment. I find it easy talking to Jennifer and feel supported, heard and understood. After a session, I leave feeling more positive and motivated about taking the necessary steps to better manage my difficulties and improve my situation. I definitely recommend her!

I've been seeing Jennifer for a year and love her flexibility with scheduling, her timeliness, and most importantly, her CBT approach works ideally for me. The logical, methodical approach with literal worksheets to fill out, and homework, is the best possible approach for a non-touchy-feely, results and action driven approach to therapy. She has a thoughtful and non-judgmental demeanor that has worked great for me.
Not great. Shes not a great therapist still very much relying on what she learned in school. And not that intelligent or perceptive.
Jennifer is wonderful. I find her calming and practical advice hugely valuable. CBT is a useful process and means I can apply what I learn with Jennifer to my daily life. I would highly recommend Jennifer and thank her for all her time and support over the past few months.

I have mixed feelings. For many people, working with Jennifer could be helpful. Personally, it didn't really go anywhere. I didn't see results and didn't necessarily figure out how to move forward. I came up with some ideas on my own but I didn't feel meaningful encouragement or a whole lot of building on the ideas. It's hard to guide yourself when you aren't super confident in your ideas. Ultimately the counseling is rather open-ended so if you have a clear idea of where you want to go, Jennifer may help you.
Very satisfied in my first visit. The doctor assessed me for the entire appointment (first appointment) and I felt she was able to get a grasp on why I am attending therapy. She has a lovely manner and a very clean quaint office located 5/10 minutes from my office which makes it very convenient.

This was my first time seeing a therapist so I did not know what to expect. Jennifer made me feel very comfortable, like I was talking to a friend, not being judged or pressured in any way. I'm looking forward to going back.

I was a little confused trying to find her office in the building. Once I got to her office, I was very pleased as she greeted me warmly and had a big couch to get comfortable on. I felt very comfortable with her and look forward to our next visit.
Over the course of my visits, Jennifer has been tremendously helpful and supportive. She is a fantastic listener and has an innate ability to pick on underlying problems and potential solutions. Jennifer always approaches situations from problem-solving point of view and has provided many insights and resources to proactively overcome issues. She is incredibly fair and logical and has a really welcoming and friendly personality. I trust her implicitly and would highly recommend her to anyone.

Jennifer is compassionate and constructive. Rather than simply listening or giving her own feedback, she actively engages me in the process so we can construct a plan of action together. Even if I suspect a plan of action together. Even if I suspect I sound irrational, she helps me find new ways to deal with my problems. So I can ultimately live a happy and balanced life. Highly recommended.
