Jerri Rouse Coaching and Counseling

For over 30 years, I stood beside my Navy SEAL husband through deployments, relocations, and unimaginable loss. I wasn’t wearing the uniform, but I was in it. Supporting families. Holding it together. Reinventing myself again and again as we moved across duty stations. I learned resilience through experience, not textbooks. When we sought help during the toughest stretches, it made a difference. It kept us going. And eventually, I made it my mission to do the same for others — especially those who’ve worn the uniform themselves. Many of the people I work with are navigating PTSD, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. Whether they’re veterans, first responders, trauma survivors, or simply adults who’ve carried too much for too long, they’re often functioning on the outside but unraveling quietly inside. They’re exhausted, reactive, guarded, or shut down. And they’re ready for something to change. Together, we build clarity, steadiness, and sustainable tools. Therapy with me is practical, respectful, and solution focused. I draw on evidence-based approaches like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, DBT, and ACT, along with options like walk-and-talk sessions in nature and equine-assisted work when helpful. I don’t believe in endless therapy with no end in sight. I believe in helping you get your life back. This work isn’t about chasing happiness. It’s about creating peace — in your body, your relationships, and your day-to-day life. I know what this life asks of you. I also know it’s possible to build peace, even after the hardest chapters. If you’re ready for that kind of change, I’d be honored to walk with you. ‍ - Jerri Rouse, LCSW
