My primary focus in treatment is Trauma. When I refer to Trauma, I am talking about major traumatic events such as an assault or serious car accident, just as examples. I also am talking about trauma resulting from adverse life events such as a critical parent, teacher, coach or spouse for example. If not addressed, these traumatic experiences, big or small, can stay stuck within us and continue to impact our lives for years.
The therapy method that I use primarily, is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. EMDRIA.org has an introductory video for people considering EMDR Therapy. I would also be happy to talk with you more about this.
