Dr. Cooke taught me so many tools to fight unhelpful thinking habits and unhealthy behaviors. I really believe now everyone can benefit from learning about psychology and universal human behaviors. You truly are not alone even if you feel that way . He taught me feelings are not facts. In general he teaches you ways to anchor yourself when you feel lost. So hopefully your low points aren’t as long or deep. Thats my personal experience. Dr. Cooke tells it how it is, i love and need his honesty! No complaints. He has never missed an appointment, is on top of making sure my meds are refilled, and cares about your well being as his patient. Highly recommend. Im much better now, before i met him i would get lost in my negative thoughts. Now i know they are irrational. Good luck to all seeking mental health help !!

Compassionate, empathetic, well-mannered and, most of all, effective. These words come to mind when I think of Dr. Cooke. I have worked with Dr. Cooke for seven years. Thus, I draw from a wide range of experience in these comments. Dr. Cooke possesses a quickness of mind that's quite rare. This allows him to treat his patients in a manner that addresses the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease, and considering multiple factors simultaneously. I have yet to meet another doctor in any field who cares about his patients as much as he does. One way to describe this would be to say that Dr. Cooke does not put you in a 'half hour' box and leave you there. As his patient, you enter the comfortable ambience of his empathic nature, and you are never forgotten between appointments. Dr. Cooke has an extensive knowledge of psychology in addition to medicine. This further distinguishes him from other psychiatrists. Most psychiatrists prescribe medication, but don't offer therapy. They leave this to a psychologist because they don't have the knowledge or the patience. By contrast, Dr. Cooke offers his clients medication and therapy based on the most effective and evidence based approaches in psychology today. I feel extremely lucky to have met Dr. Cooke seven years ago. He continues to improve my life and assist me. In sum, Dr. Cooke's acumen in both psychiatry and psychology cannot be questioned. Working with Dr. Cooke is a wise decision

Dr. Cooke has really concrete ideas and solutions for attacking challenges. He provides specific things that I can do to improve my life.
I came to Dr. Cooke when I was in the middle of a relapse of MDD 2 1/2 years ago. My first episode had been 15 years prior and i had gotten much better and was stable all those years until I decided to wean off of my medication and, unfortunately, had to quit my job due to relapsing. My psychiatrist at the time did not recognize the severity of my symptoms and the help and medication I was in need of. I reached out to Dr Cooke and he put me on medication that targeted the anxiety I was plagued with and helped to pull me to the point I’m at today. I’m impressed with his knowledge of medications, their uses and their side effects, and his overall expertise in pharmacology.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Cookes for almost 4 years now and he is excellent. He is knowledgeable, compassionate and thorough. He is consistently there for his patients and truly cares. With a past of doctors in this field, I can objectively say, he’s the best hands down and recommend him highly to anyone!
