Dr. Shega and his staff were phenomenal. I had never seen a dermatologist prior to this appointment. As such, I was a bit uncertain as to what to expect
Thankfully, (not usually the case,) I was seen right away. The receptionists were kind and personable.
Dr. Sheba’s nurse, Elizabeth, was equally skilled and attentive.
Upon meeting Dr. Sheba, he listened acutely to all of my questions and uncertainties - mostly regarding a family history of skin cancer. He and his staff thereafter provided a thorough examination in a totally comfortable environment.
They also offered upfront pricing, with and without insurance, for another procedure I may have done sometime in the near future.
In sum, anyone who is seeking a great dermatologist, nurse, and assistants with great bedside manner, timely consideration, and personal attention; I can’t recommend more highly Dr. Shega.

It was my first time visiting a dermatologist. The doctor was almost an hour late. Once I finally got a chance to talk to him, it wasn’t a very long conversation or evaluation. He prescribed some medication and suggested a peel and a lotion after I went back and asked the nurse for clarification of what it was for along with the prescribed medication since it wasn’t explained to me very well originally. I opted to go with the lotion which they charged me 70% more than what it retails for. Shame on me for not checking before purchasing and trusting that a doctor would at least charge market prices.

Was told to come in an hour earlier by the receptionist only to show up and wait an hour and a half to be seen...The doctor proceeded to give me 2 minutes of his time without even pretending to do a thorough exam. Was moved between two rooms with no explanation and was overcharged for my services. Will never return and would recommend you see another doctor as well. Very unprofessional.

Amazing staff, called to confirm my apt through ZocDoc and clear up any questions they had. On office they were so kind, professional, and willing to listen to MY concerns and answer any and all questions. Doc and staff are both AMAZING, truly great services and really and truly an easy and comfortable experience! I am 100% going back.

Very friendly, professional and personable - the entire staff. I booked through ZocDoc and when I arrived at the appointment, the office had no record of my appointment. The dr. already had an appointment but they were very accommodating.
Dr. Shega answered all of my questions and before doing anything that would cost more $$ out of my pocket, he sent me to his front desk to check with insurance and get pricing so I could decide whether or not I wanted to proceed. He took care of everything I needed during my appointment. I had a very pleasant experience.

Dr. Shega listened to my concerns about previous failed treatments I received from other doctors and came up with an immediate plan of action. Excellent bedside manner...we discussed my health first and foremost, but we also had a light discussion about politics and sports too. Very friendly and efficient staff as well. Looking forward to my follow-up appointment.

While Dr. Shega himself was very nice and knowledgeable, I would not return to this practice. The facility was dirty and in bad need of updating (stained and peeling furnishings). The staff had issues finding my appointment through ZocDoc, they mischarged me on my first appointment, and almost did it on the follow up appointment, due to a lack of paying attention to basic math. We all make mistakes, but, I had to repeatedly show the person checking me out what the total should be, and how I arrived at that total. (and, I'm no math genius). I just didn't feel like I was in good hands with anyone on the staff, with the exception of the Dr himself.

I am an out of towner who developed an allergic reaction and was happy to get an appointment at this office. The physical office was ok, probably needed some new decor and sprucing up. Employees were nice and helpful. Dr was professional and friendly. The most important thing is that today the reaction is gone and my face is back to normal. So..thank you Dr. Shega.

Treatment was fine. Very personable clinical staff. Billing seemed confused.
Simple Biopsy split between multiple visits which i suspect was more a billing issue that anything else as additional a cost less then the initial one per visit.
Parking is aweful.

I really loved the fact that Dr. Shega offers online booking and forms through ZocDoc. Unfortunately when I arrived none of the paperwork I had filled out was recognized by the reception staff and I had to fill out paperwork again. Slightly frustrating and very redundant. Also parking is not easy at this location. I had to drive around for almost 10 minutes before a spot opened up.
My appointment time was at 11am. I arrived at 10:45am and was not called in to be seen until 11:30am.
Actual service/experience was good. Dr. Shega provided a quick examination and operated all within 2 hours. He is very black and white and straight to the point but is friendly as well. His office could use some updates but overall it was a good experience.

HIghly recommend Dr. Shega. Being new to SD and in need of a derm, I looked everywhere for someone that could get me in as soon as possible. This doctor doesn't turn anyone down, perhaps due to working in the military and being used to seeing so many patients. He made me feel at home. I had a terrible flare up of rosecea and he went through my history and recommended a plan of action. I left feeling like things were finally going to be back on track and that there was hope! I look forward to seeing him again in 2 weeks and to finally nip this skin condition in the bootay!

I usually am very uncomfortable with doctor visits. I always forget to ask some of my questions because of the anxiety I feel. But Dr. Shega was very welcoming and calm. Very professional and easy to talk to. Plus his office is smaller and you don't have to fight for pay for parking. Calm setting, quick visit. He's a great guy. His assistant is really cool too.

I could write and write and write about Dr. Shega's poor staff performance but I'd summarize it all under one thing they had me in a room and they had just performed a biopsy and they left me there for an hour. When the nurse passed by he was shocked that I was still there
