As a licensed therapist for over 20 years, my therapeutic partnership with you, while individualized, is meant to be short term, solution focused, strengths
based with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic approaches. Life changes take trust, courage, determination, structure with tools and needs future vision. Our first session will introduce you to engagement with me in prioritizing and setting short term goals to ease "daily life" challenges. My expertise and post graduate training has concentrated on Cognitive based therapies such as CBT, DBT, REBT, all focused to link thought patterns to emotions and behavior. This is particularly important when confronting symptoms of anxiety disorders, depressive and mood disorders, trauma, life transitions and other issues. Insight oriented therapy is also critical to make long term and lasting progress. Mindfulness and mind/body relationships are also a source of support and resources for stress management are immediate areas of focus. My clients are from every area of life, usually young adults through later midlife, with a range of issues or experiences that have shaken life cycles, transitions and/or led to challenges in daily life behaviors in work or personal relationships. My clients are diverse in culture, professional pursuits, creativity and sexual orientation and gender identification. Our partnership begins with trust, interactive communication, compassion, genuine engagement and a guided focus on you.
*Please note that my hours include Mon., Tues., Wed. and Saturdays. I truly respect your time and will work to accommodate your schedule. At this time I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or a $45 fee will be charged, and is expected to be paid before another appointment can be made. This includes same day "rescheduling" and cancellation. Saturday "no show" or cancellation beyond 24 hours is a $65 fee with similar expectations.
