Keaton Flicker

With nurturing and attuned support, every person possesses the ability to hear their own inner knowing. I accompany adults, teens and couples through challenges such as life transitions, eating disorders, intimacy issues, grief, anxiety and burnout. I empower clients to uproot emotional patterns that obstruct their natural capacity for connection and fulfillment. I hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as certifications in Somatic Experiencing Level I, Holistic Nutrition, and Ayurveda. With a warm and direct style, I weave together traditional psychodynamic dialogue with body-based modalities to create a truly individualized, comprehensive treatment approach to help achieve a lasting experience of change. I gained extensive clinical experience at Women’s Clinic Counseling Center, where I worked predominantly with young adults navigating complex trauma, loss, anxiety and depression during the first years of the covid-19 pandemic . I now participate in ongoing post–graduate study of somatic psychology, family systems, attachment, sexuality and chronic illness. When our sense of aliveness is thwarted by traumatic influences, we mistake outdated survival strategies for who we really are. And we usually believe the ache will last forever. Let me reflect that the seed of change already lies within you. I would love to help you grow a sustainable and satisfying way of life.
