This was my first time getting back into the space of psychiatry as I’m trying to have a new handle on my life as I go through my life. I think it’s very important as a young adult to be able to communicate fairly and effectively with a provider of any sort. Although I wasn’t seen by the provider I chose, I was seen by Kerry and it was great. She’s a really great communicator and very informative on any issues or concerns you might have. I didn’t feel like i was interrogated by her at all because unlike anybody else this is just how first intakes go with the standard questions that JUST need to be asked in order for you to receive the best care you can get. I can tell she’s really nice, genuine, and most importantly honest. I tend to be weary of any service providers I come across but Kerry was patient and understanding of me and my concerns. I look forward to working with her for the future to come.

Nurse Callender is an excellent provider.
I travel for work and she didn’t feel very understanding of my situation and acted confused on why I am reaching out for treatment since I move every couple months. Never had another doctor laugh out of frustration with me because of something out of my control :( also asked me why I think I have ADHD (I’ve been medically diagnosed) so when I would explain my symptoms she kept on getting defensive saying she “wasn’t trying to take away my diagnosis” even though I wasn’t getting offended by her questions, just provided answers. She ended up helping by prescribing me new medication, however, she was acting like I was kinda dumb the whole time for not “having a plan” and having to find a new doctor every couple months. Trust me, I hate it more than anyone else but my only other option is to not get treatment. Smart doctor though, seems knowledgeable.

Horrible provider. Terrible listener and very argumentative. Questioned me up and down as if this was an interrogation and not a friendly environment. I think these providers are starting to forget we are people and patients. I ended the session before I would have to continue to be spoken to condescendingly for another 30 minutes. There was barely a hi/hello, more like a lets get this started so I can get on with my day. For a profession centered around mental health, there should be a lot more care taken when people are coming to you fragile and looking for help. Do better.

Not super happy with the handling of the appointment. I don’t recommend booking through ZocDoc. I felt a bit spoken down to and was kind of talked into taking a new medication that I never really said yes to. Quickly stopped taking it when I realized I was uncomfortable. Won’t be seeing again.
I have had 3 Telehealth visits with Ms. Callander. I find it very easy to talk to Kerry, she has a very warm and caring persona. She did not rush through our visits, she allowed me plenty of time to express myself. She is very supportive as well. I highly recommend her!

The provider chastised me for stopping a medication without my doctor’s knowledge and canceling appointments with my doctor. Neither of these things happened, I stopped the medication with my doctor’s knowledge and direction, and the cancelation happened due to an insurance issue (without my knowledge!) Other than being a bit unfriendly and accusatory, the provider was helpful and made valuable suggestions. I would recommend her as long as you have thick skin and can stand up for yourself…
This was a very difficult in-take to want to sit through. I immediately recognized the unprofessional approach to this conversation. Her question were unclear and not connected to my forms which were not read. Ive had many amazing psychiatrists and she is not one of them.

We proceeded with a brief intake type appointment, and I was given a clearer direction on the care I should be seeking out to better suit me. I’ve had two appointments with Kerry now and she is the best. She is direct, prompt and doesn’t waste my time. She listens to what I need and prescribes refills during or within minutes after the appointment. She is kind and remembers what we discussed in previous appointments. We do medication management and she never drags out the appointment just to reach the hour mark. The appointments are usually over within 15-30 minutes and are enjoyable the entire time. Love love love her!
