Under the direction of president and chief surgeon Jeffrey Whitman, M.D., the Key-Whitman Eye Center has been recognized as a leading eye-care facility for over 50 years, providing Cataract and LASIK eye laser surgery for vision correction & general eye care services.
A full range of progressive ophthalmic services are facilitated by an extraordinary group of experienced physicians who are board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Using a combination of Wavefront analysis and treatment with the all-laser, blade-free LASIK the Key-Whitman team has improved the precision and predictability of LASIK laser eye surgery.
The doctors are among a few select surgeons in North Texas credentialed in the use of the Light Adjustable Lens, PanOptix®,and Symfony® intraocular lens implants which provide far, intermediate, and close-up continuous vision at the time of Cataract Surgery.
Treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal disease as well as routine eye care in addition to vision correction is offered by the eye center. Dr. Whitman, a recipient of the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award, is a Past President of the American College of Eye Surgeons, and he's been recognized by D Magazine's "Best Doctors" peer review as one of Dallas' best each year since 2001.

Made an appointment because I had a specific concern I wanted to discuss with an ophthalmologist. The office didn’t use any of the information I submitted in advance, required 8 pages of additional forms, and then provided a routine optometry appointment with a completely different doctor (without telling me in advance). Nice people, but this practice should not be on Zocdoc.

Doctor: Doctor was confused about the condition of my father and hadn't reviewed the complaint prior to meeting with us. He didn't seem knowledgeable and was dismissive of our concerns.

waited a long time in waiting room and another 30 min in exam room. finally went to go find someone and found dr, haq in an office across the hall on the computer. felt like I had been completely forgotton. as for bedside manner, he made me feel little to no hope for managing my eyesight. I am far-sighted with astygmia, I asked if there were any exercises I could do to strengthen my eye muscles, he said he didn't believe in that and my eyesight would only continue to deteriorate. I was so discouraged that I haven't tried to see another eye doctor since. i'm finally over that experience and am looking for another doctor. sorry I let him get to me that way.
