Hey!
My name is Khovita Jainarine and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY. In my 10 years of experience in mental health counseling, I have had the pleasure of working in a wide array of mental health settings. These opportunities have provided me with the ability to help break the stigma of mental health and make services more accessible. I believe in viewing the patient from a holistic perspective to understand how different compents/factors can affect us.
My approach to therapy is to honor each individual’s unique circumstances as I work with them to build a practical plan for achieving positive change and growth. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EFT/Tapping, EMDR, Person centered approach, Cultural Competency, andTrauma informed Care. I am also a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional (CCFP)- focusing on provider burnout.
My goal is to focus on personalized care to determine what coping skills work best for you!

I have been seeing Khovita Jainarine for over a year now, and I am so thankful to have such an attentive, brilliant, and caring provider. I was new to the world of mental health practices and she educated me on the subject while helping me understand my feelings as well as conquer my goals. She goes the extra mile to teach me helpful techniques and strategies, does research and is constantly learning bringing insightful things to implement in our sessions and creates a safe space through the lens of a computer, which I think is pretty impressive. She made me feel real and accepted, she’s helped me tremendously and I am forever grateful. If you are lucky enough to work with her, I am sure you will feel as blessed as I do.
