Kia's Kounseling
My practice focuses on helping individuals navigate life transitions, emotional challenges, and periods of overwhelming stress. I provide a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can explore their experiences, build insight, and develop practical tools to improve their emotional well-being.
My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based strategies, and strengths-based interventions. I work with clients to identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier coping strategies that promote resilience and personal growth.
I have experience supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, caregiver stress, life transitions, trauma-related concerns, and challenges with work or academic stress. My goal is to help clients move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional stability.
I believe therapy should be a collaborative process. Together we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful and sustainable change.
