Kiene Dental Group is a hometown dental practice located in the heart of Old Shawnee, KS. We are proud to have served our community and since 1956. Many of our patients started coming to our practice as children and have received literally a lifetime of care here. These lasting relationships are an affirmation of our strong sense of community. Knowing and caring for our patients, new and old, allows us to give them the extra attention and special care that they deserve. We combine our commitment to the highest standards of quality with personalized, compassionate care and excellent service. To that end, our office is a modern facility equipped with the newest state-of-the-art equipment. I have been putting off going to the dentist for several years due to dental anxiety. I chose to see Dr. Kiene due to the focus on dental anxiety. Everything about my appointment was great! The office staff were so nice, the building was very clean, my dental hygienist was thoughtful and gentle, and Dr. Kiene explained everything thoroughly. Very modern place, the doctor was funny, kind, and respectful, the only thing was that booking on Zocdoc set up a meeting with the doctor, not for a regular tooth cleaning so that was kind of confusing. But they called to clarify and when a tooth cleaning opened up they called and offered it to me.

Everything was very clean and professional. All the staff was really fun and friendly. Sadly there cost where still way to much then what I could afford with my insurance. If you have really great insurance and available to pay some out of pocket expenses I highly recommended them. I REALLY REALLY REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE HAD MY TREATMENT HERE. I was sad that I could not afford there prices .they made me feel so comfortable like family.

Absolutely 100% true 5 star! If you are looking for top notch treatment. This is it folks. 1.) I was able to get in to my appointment as a new patient through an opening by checking the online scheduling portal. Keep in mind I had scheduled this same day with in a 2-hour time frame of the appointment. 2.) All team members were pleasant and informative before, during, and after the appointment. 3.) Dr. Piper and his assistant Gina did some outstanding work, and kept me in the loop throughout the duration of the procedure. Along with Stephanie, who explained all of the forms and payment options. In addition, keeping in contact to insure all of the information was completed to make the experience seamless. Overall top to bottom great experience!

Excellent experience! I had dental pain while traveling, and they not only saw me for an appointment but made sure to get every step of the procedures done before I continued my travels. I’m thinking of booking some of my routine appointments at the office in my future travels to the area. Dr Piper is great. He’s super nice, caring and genuine. He will be very honest with you but in a way that is constructive to helping you achieve the smile you want. I have seen Dr Piper three times now, last year for some fillings and this year for some additional. He always been super attentive and addressed my anxiety around the tools they use. He has been a great dentist and will likely keep my dental needs to his office. Having a dentist care, be honest, do quality work is rare and Dr. Piper and his team really does all the above and more. I highly recommend him to my entire staff at work. And I highly recommend him to you.
