On the journey toward self-discovery, we all can benefit from a person to aid us in knowing ourselves. Kokoro Wellness speacializes in trauma-informed care, and the treatment and diagnosis of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and more. Healing the heart, mind, and spirit - an introduction from RM Talbot, CRC, LPC, Clinical Director of Kokoro Wellness, Inc.: I am a counselor, committed to aiding persons who have survived traumatic experiences. My work focuses on targeting trauma through storytelling, cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and mindfulness. The benefits of this holistic approach to the healing of trauma is often a decrease in the symptoms a person feels in their daily lives, and an increase in a person's abilities to enjoy the moment. In my clinical studies I received training at community-based non-profit organizations, the VA system, and private practice. I have extensive experience working on treatment teams, and therefore offer to coordinate mental health services with the other providers of care in a person's life. I am passionate about providing safe spaces for persons who have survived trauma. I also train professionals and students about trauma-informed care in their field of practice.
