Kyle Deaver Therapy
Kyle Deaver Therapy is a telehealth practice serving adolescents and adults across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The practice is built around the belief that therapy should actually do something. Not just provide a space to vent, but help people understand what is driving their symptoms and make real, lasting progress.
The focus areas are trauma, anxiety, depression, and ADHD. These issues often overlap and rarely exist in isolation. Someone dealing with chronic anxiety may have a history of experiences that taught their nervous system to stay on high alert. Someone struggling with depression may be carrying unprocessed grief or trauma that has never had a chance to fully resolve. ADHD in adults often looks different than people expect and frequently goes unaddressed for years. Wherever a client is starting from, the work is tailored to what they actually need.
The primary treatment approaches are EMDR and CBT. EMDR is particularly effective for trauma and anxiety because it works with how the brain and body store difficult experiences, not just how a person thinks about them. Kyle is fully EMDR certified, meaning he has completed the full certification process including training hours, supervised practice, and consultation, not just an introductory workshop. CBT provides a practical framework for identifying and changing thought patterns that keep people stuck. Used together these approaches address both the roots of a problem and the day to day skills needed to manage it.
The therapeutic relationship is treated as the foundation of everything. Research consistently shows that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is one of the strongest predictors of treatment outcomes. Kyle spends the early sessions focused on building that foundation before moving into deeper clinical work. If the fit is not right, that gets addressed directly rather than ignored.
The practice sees teens navigating the kind of pressure and stress that does not always get taken seriously, and adults who have been pushing through for years and are finally ready to do something about it. Sessions are 60 minutes and conducted entirely via telehealth, making quality care accessible without adding a commute.
