Lantern of Hope Counseling
Lantern of Hope was founded to offer women a steady, grounded space for healing. Catherine Blake Sekel, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and trauma-informed therapist who works with women navigating anxiety, depression, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, relationship strain, and major life transitions.
Her approach is structured, evidence-based, and deeply compassionate. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other research-supported modalities, Catherine helps clients identify unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and build practical skills that support lasting change. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, meaning sessions are paced with sensitivity to each client's history, boundaries, and readiness.
Healing here is not rushed. It unfolds gradually — conversation by conversation, skill by skill — as clarity replaces overwhelm and steadiness replaces reactivity.
For clients who desire it, Christian Counseling is available as an optional integration. Faith is never required, but it can be gently incorporated for women who view their spiritual life as an important part of their identity and healing journey.
Lantern of Hope is committed to providing an inclusive, culturally responsive environment where every woman feels respected and supported. Your story is honored here, and your growth is approached with care.
