Sometimes you react in ways that don't make sense, even to you. You recognize a familiar pattern but aren't sure why it keeps happening. And there you are again. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering online psychotherapy to adults in California and Colorado. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My approach draws primarily on DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. We'll look at what sets reactions in motion, find practical ways to manage what's happening now, and work toward changes that matter to you. I'll ask questions and sometimes point out something you might prefer not to notice. I'm also certified in Brainspotting and the Oaklander Model of Play Therapy, which I use when they fit the person and the work. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in entertainment and healthcare. Those experiences shaped how I understand pressure and responsibility. I offer separate mental performance coaching for competitive athletes. Coaching and psychotherapy are distinct services. You don't need a neat explanation to begin.
