I’m Lauren Fanwick, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor offering in-person therapy in West Sayville, NY, and online appointments. I work with children ages 6+, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, intense emotions, relationship challenges, and life changes.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Together, we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck and practice tools for managing worry, handling difficult emotions, and communicating your needs.
At our first appointment, we’ll talk about what brought you here, what feels hardest right now, and what you hope could change. You’ll have space to ask questions—you don’t need a prepared explanation or the “right” words.
I bring more than 10 years of experience across inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. We’ll set goals together and check in on what’s helping.
